Salewa Men's Trainer Mid GTX Alpine Trekking Boot

My husband got these for his work, he is in his feet every day 12hr. A day, these keep his feet in good shape and he is in much less pain now.

As usual great quality and fit , did not care for the neon green lace hooks third down from top when all the others are black, I knew that when I purchased them so I painted them black and polyurethane them as well because I love Salewa boots

Excellent fit and finish

I work law enforcement in a western metropolitan area in the US. I use these boots for work. They are great! I replaced the silver laces with black ones and painted the lime green lace-hook black with some acrylic paint.They have almost zero break in period and are super comfortable. They feel almost like a mix between durable sneakers and mat shoes. I was nervous the sole would be too stiff for city work but they are perfect. Love that they're water proof.I have only been using them for about two months (~April-May 2023) so I will have to see how they hold up. My suspicion is the tread will wear fast working almost entirely on pavement. But time will tell. Highly recommend.

I’m a delivery driver, and I walk 15 miles a day on average. I had Salewa’s years ago and liked them. I tried UA for the better price point. But they either didn’t last like Salewa or they hurt your feet after a 11 hour day. I went back to Salewa and there was a difference from day one.

I bought the previous version of the Salewa Alp Trainer Mid GTX size 8 at the end of 2016. Love the boots, the Vibram outsole and the GORE-TEX are holding on extremely well, so I decided to give it a go to this newer version size 8.5.After I ordered it, then I knew that it was actually coming from Europe, I waited with high expectation and it finally arrived.... The reason I ordered size 8.5 this time cause the old pair was a little tight after walking for a few miles, so I decided a half size upgrade should be enough to give more toe room. But the size 8.5 is actually the same length and even slightly narrower then my size 8. I tried to return.... but it would cause me $70.00 postage to mail it back to Europe..... I am stuck.Why would the same brand and the same style be smaller!!!!!!!!! It is just sitting in the closet with tags in the same box doing nothing. And I won't get any visa from my sweet wife for any new shoes until I can get rid of this haunted boots.

Fit just a little small so I got a half size big and it was perfect . other than that one of the best summer hikers I could recommend.

They are very comfortable out of the box and very reasonably price. The fit is great and really have only one complaint. These are not made in Italy.
