wifi direct only, not internet
NB: not an IP camera and not controllable or viewable over wifi network or internet. Direct wifi connection to car AP only -- and not much range, maybe 20 feet. Plus the Mecanum wheels don't work very well; it skitters around a lot. Definitely more of a novelty than a decent programmable Arduino bot. Doesn't have the standard Arduino board in/outputs. Look elsewhere.

Mecanum Wheel Robot Kit With FPV Camera is a Great Buy
This tiny (4.5" by 4.5") robot might be small but it is well-designed and assembles easily. There are several videos available as well as a small booklet for assembly instructions. The robot should be purchased for ages 12+ to adults as it is not a toy. It interfaces well with my phone and the camera's tilt can be controlled by a small slide switch image on the phone's screen. The camera image is very clear on the screen. I bought it to study omni-directional movements for a robot, as I had always used 'differential' steering for previous robots. The only negative that I found was the 'no name' 18650 batteries discharged too fast.

Fun learning tool, even for kids in there 40s
Very fun way to learn C and robotics. I would recommend reading all included instructions and all of the online "classes" before you start assembly because if you don't you may end up assembling and disassembling multiple times because there are programming and running steps that have to be completed during assembly, not after. I was able to write my own custom program that incorporates the autonomous modes with the wireless PS2 controller mode so that I can seemlessly switch between manual control and autonomous control using only the PS2 controller (not included). There are many many bugs in the provided source code, finding and fixing those bugs and is part of the fun.

Not for Newbs!
I was hopeful that I could build and program this little guy with success. The physical build was fun and not that difficult. The programming was super frustrating. I followed the detailed steps to code it but it did nothing in the end. It would not sync with the app either. It probably all comes down to the fact that I never programmed before. It now just sits in a drawer, lifeless. If you aren't experienced in coding or robotics stay away from this kit. I put low stars on the thickness and warmth points because it is neither.

Update: app doesn’t connect, or do many functions anymore.
This little thing was great... for about a week. However after that the app stopped connecting like it used to and some of the functions stopped. I charged it and connected it to a pc and couldn’t diagnose any issues, so I’ll most likely be returning it...

Mostly non-functional
Had difficulty moving on flat smooth surface. Camera does not work. Tilt servo does not work. Tutorial page does not work.Conceptually it would have been cool, but the quality is just not there.I recommend not buying this bot.

Small but versatile
Versatile for its price and size, the Omniduino is great for someone with a bit of experience in C language programming to enhance their skills. The website has fairly thorough documentation on how the programs work, which is helpful for those looking to understand the software that the bot can run. Although a part on my robot arrived damaged, customer support was helpful and ordered replacement parts. Overall, this is a good buy for someone looking to practice with the Arduino IDE or who wants to have fun driving the robot through a smartphone app.
