Very pleased with Vinpera INC's longer warranty support for this battery. This lessens the concern regarding (hopefully occasional) quality issues in many aftermarket batteries. The initial quality of this AP13B3K battery for my Acer Aspire R14 (PN: R3-471T-76BM) is very promising. The battery connector had the same wire colors in all positions as my original. Unfortunately, no mfg date code found. :-( My laptop immediately recognized the new battery. Initial state of charge reported was 48%. I followed the vendor's instructions to calibrate the laptop's "battery remaining" indicator. I fully charged the battery. Then, in Windows, I temporarily turned ON the display full-time and turned OFF all the low battery notifications and sleep/hibernation settings. The first complete battery discharge lasted over 10 hours. Full recharge takes about 2.25 hrs. Two more discharge cycles completed the calibration and were 10+ hrs. This was well above my expectations. (A couple years ago, I had replaced the HDD with an SSD. This reduced power drain and increased the life-per-charge with the original battery, however, it was nowhere near 10hrs since the original battery was already feeling it's age.) Time will tell how long this battery will hold up with repeated charge/discharge cycles in normal use. I'll update this review regarding battery lifetime and reliability aspects.One item that may be peculiar to my model Acer... Sometime back, my laptop's trackpad buttons stopped working correctly. (The trackpad has integrated left and right buttons; to click them, the trackpad tilts slightly at the front corners.) When I opened up the laptop to access the original battery pack, I noticed the 4 battery elements had swelled up like inflatable pillows. While I learned this is a normal LiPo aging symptom, this swelling put pressure on the underside of my trackpad, causing the switches to not operate correctly (or at all). Replacing the battery pack has now also restored the operation of my trackpad buttons! Always nice to find a fix that kills 2 birds with 1 stone!

The battery was fine in the first few cycles, but after a couple of week, it doesn’t even hold a charge.It’s easy to install but the quality is poor. Test your battery well and don’t throw out the box so you can return it.

Installing this battery was easy - worked like a charm

1st battery is good and it holds a long charge that's why 4 stars. HOWEVER, I have tried several times to reset the battery and went through the new battery cycle. and my laptop (ACER R7) still does not detect the battery. I even took the battery and re-installed it and again did the charging cycle (charging and discharging the laptop at least 5 times). I replaced the battery before and it detected the battery but for some reason, it will not detect this one. I thought I could live with this but it's bad when I'm working on something and it dies. now the warranty is over and I'm stuck with this..

The product is good. It is easy to install and battery life is OK.

This battery was really easy to install once I got the old one out. It restored my laptops battery life and is a good value for the money

At first I was impressed as it charged up to full and was full the next day. It worked great for several cycles. The about a month after the warranty was out it holds nothing. If I unplug the charger, the laptop shuts down. Don't waste your money on this.
