Yes it is, I've used it while sitting in a chair, on the sofa and also while lying down in bed. It was good in all three places. It was also good holding a Stephen King book which over a thousand pages long and also a smaller book. I hope this helps.

Which color is easiest on the eyes while reading?

I bought both of mine in gray. The color just washes out next to the book and I also find it fits in with any decor.

No wrist strain

Bigger than expected, this book pillow can take a really large book without toppling. Easy to use, this saves my wrists from cramping or being strained from the weight of a book.
