Excellent fix for N52 without replacing valve cover.
I have installed a few dozen of these PCV valves, and all of them have performed excellent. If your engine is howling and you feel excessive crankcase vacuum at the oil filler, you probably need this part. A replacement valve cover from BMW is now about $500 for the part, and labor is a bit over 5 hours. This offers a much cheaper fix. These are a little technical to install. DO NOT cut your original off with a Dremel, that will leave a horrible melted mess. The trick is to carefully crack away the original piece with a sharp chisel, then attach this replacement part with a little black RTV. Be sure to reuse the pressure regulating spring with the new part. I expect these will last several years at least.

Fit perfectly
The quality is good and fit perfectly and better than the previous one I bought from a different vendor. The spring is not included.

Painful replacement
Mechanic quoted me $1200 to replace my valve cover so I got this. Then, I realized it's at the back of the engine and a total pain to replace so I got the Vargas oil cap breather and called it a day.

It fits and works, but...
The factory valve looks like it's only clipped on, but it's actually glued on. You have to break it off. I was extremely careful, but the tabs broke off anyway, so I had to use epoxy glue to glue this onto the valve cover. It is not designed exactly the same as OEM, but I think that's a good thing. It appears to be designed specifically to be a replacement, instead of exactly the same.

Worked for 3 months
Installed PCV on BMW X3, worked great for about 3 months and then it started leaking and whistling and then I started throwing code for air pressure. Tried to work with seller, apparently “NO Warranty” outside Amazon return time. Beware.

Worked in a 2010 528xi
My original PCV had a tear and was causing a small vacuum leak. I had to chisel off the old PCV (thanks BMW), but once the old one was off, it was simple to apply some RTV to this new PCV and press it into position. I let the RTV dry overnight. I drove the car in the morning and the engine was noticeably smoother and there is no vacuum leakage at the PCV orifice, so everything seems to be sealed properly. This was much cheaper than replacing the whole valve cover.
