Very firm, but looks nice and is functional
It looks very nice and it is functional. It is VERY firm though. I purchased it thinking I could try it out and if I didn't like it, "hey, it's amazon... i can just return it!". That is much easier said than done. The box is huge and after putting everything together, it would be very difficult to take it all apart and return it. When I first got the couch, I was very disappointed because it was so firm and returning it would be a huge hassle... so I just kept it. It's been about 6 months now and I actually don't even notice how firm it is anymore. I'm reminded every time a guest comes over and sits on it, but the rest of the time I don't even think about it.Also, somebody posted a question asking about the height of the seat, so I attached a picture. It's about 18 inches tall.

The product is sturdy, but it's too firm for me
The product is sturdy, but it's too firm for me. Maybe it's fine if you want to use the sleeper feature instead of sofa. Also, for the set I've got, the top piece and bottom piece are off by half an inch or so therefore the we couldn't use the holes on the pieces to assemble. After many many back and forth with OJ Commerce, whose is very "responsive", but kept asking the same information even after I explain the problem at least twice or three times. Feels like I was communicating with a machine not a human. I finally gave up and put it together by "modifying" it. Then OJ Commerece notified me that a replacement was sent. I haven't seen it nor had a tracking#. The bottom line is, I will not buy again from this brand nor this retailer.

Uncomfortable, the only good thing is the storage underneath!
Most uncomfortable couch -- ever!I try to always stay realistic with my reviews and not to "just bash", but I feel the need to let prospective buyers know what to expect.First the "PROS":Amazon's delivery works like a charm. I made an appointment for a delivery the day after Christmas between 9 - 12, one minute after 9 the freight carrier called letting me know they are 10 minutes away. Exceptional! I live in a townhouse but there are 6 stairs towards the entrance, no problem for these guys at all.Free shipping with Prime -- another big plus. The look of the couch is conventional, nothing fancy but decent. Color is not "brown" but beige, but I already knew that since I asked a customer that bought it earlier and some reviewer stated this as well.Arrived in 2 boxes, no problem to assemble, though my tools worked better than the ones that are included. I suggest to have a second person help you with aligning the top part though since it is the heavier part. Now the "CONS":This is the most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. The seats are not deep enough, you can't relax on it.The recline position is odd, it's too low. Useless. The couch is too high for my coffee table, I have to literally bend over to reach for what's on the table. The side parts are stiff as a rock, don't lean on it, it won't feel relaxing. The seat cushions are too firm, I doubt they will ever "break in" to become comfortable. They might cave in at your preferred place, but not soften (at least a bit). The fabric had an unidentified spot on one of the cushions. Does look like a fault in the material rather than a dirt spot. After sitting on the middle seat for half an hour, the fabric was wrinkled. You can't place that couch close to a wall if you want to use it as a bed or recline. It needs at least 12 - 14 inches of clearance to fold it down. You can't get to the storage unit either if placed close to a wall since lifting the seat cushions to get to it, result in the back cushions to fold down towards the wall and you need the clearance. It needs to be placed towards a wall though, that little flap of material which is supposed to cover the gap between storage and the back of the cushions is not big/long enough. (By doubling the size of that flap so it would reach all the way down to the end of the storage unit, you could use it free standing). The 2 zippers that hide the legs (needed for support when you use it as a bed) are not that decorative either. That means you either lose 14 inches of space and have a weird gap between couch and wall, or you are moving it every time you use it as bed,, or take something out of/put something into the storage unit. You use it as a bed - be prepared that it feels like camping on rocks.I bought that couch because we have a frequent guest and I was tired of trying to hide the bedding in various drawers. The storage underneath was what made me decide upon it, and the brand name SERTA. I guess since SERTA has their products now manufactured in China, their quality went downhill to the point where their couches are simply uncomfortable.Luckily it was not a high expense item or I would have sent it back - by all means. I will keep it as a spare couch and continue hunting for a comfortable one that does not make you want to leave in a hurry if you sit on it for longer than 15 minutes.

I really like the functionality of this couch
I really like the functionality of this couch. The storage underneath is ideal to hide away my bedding during the day and it is very easy to operate and put together. The biggest draw back for me is how firm the couch is. I am sleeping on it every night and slept very poorly on it until I added three inches of memory foam. Problem solved! Or not... With the foam, the couch is far less comfortable to sit on during the day. Overall, I guess the pros out weigh the cons. Just be aware that it sleeps very firm.

I agree that the storage is great but that is pretty much it when it comes ...
I would expect that after 1.5 years of usage the couch would not be falling apart. It has hard to describe the matter but the mattress is sinking in here and there and you can feel the springs. I would not purchase this couch again if i knew that after such a short time i will have to look for a new couch. I agree that the storage is great but that is pretty much it when it comes to the pros of this couch.

Nice but issues
The base of the couch I received does not line up with the couch so there is a 1 inch gap so definitely takes away from the look of the couch. The firmness of the couch is great as we all know it will loosen up over time. The storage under couch is great. Mine arrived with a small spot on the fabric. I am disabled un able to sit up for more than a few mins without severe pain so the recline option is very nice for allowing me to enjoy chilling in the living room with my family without having to take the whole couch to lay down. Even better the full laid down setting allows me to use one side to hold my laptop while I lay down on the couch. The look of the couch if the gap was not there on mine would be like in the photo it looks and feels like a real couch not a futon until laid back.My 3 is for our base issue and the spot that is on the top right of the back.
