Great buy!!!
I bought this for my son's 1st birthday but ended up letting him have it when he was 11 months old because he really showed an interest in it when I showed it to him. It took him a few days to warm up to it because he wasn't sure what to think of the spinning of the "cd". Now he loves it!!! The songs are different versions from what you normally hear and they are actually really cute. He loves the lights and has no problems making it spin on his own. I feel that sometimes the buttons on baby toys are a little too hard to push but this one is a breeze. I recommend this to anyone whose child loves music, lights or just likes feeling a little independent knowing they can do it all by themselves without help of an adult.

Fun but short life
My daughter received this as a birthday gift. She absolutely loved it, but within 3 months the push button in the middle stopped working, so you had to turn the CD by hand if you wanted to use it. We kept it around because she liked it, but just recently when we turned it on the sounds were all garbled, we changed the batteries to make sure that wasn't it and it was still garbled. My daughter has had this toy for about 8 months now and it is the worst I have seen. The quality is not worth the price. I am sad to see that my brother paid so much for a toy of poor quality. I would have to say buyer beware with this toy.

False advertising
If this is a CD player, then my kid's See-and-Say is a record player. This doesn't play CD's - it just has a spinning plastic disc with pictures. I was rather dissappointed with this purchase...

Fisher-Price Nursery Rhymes CD Player
The Fisher-Price Nursery Rhymes CD player (now an old model) is a great toy. Both of my girls had lots of good entertainment from it. It is simple to use and a fun way to learn some of the basic nursery rhyme songs.

Wonderful
I bought this for my daughter when she 4 months old and she loved it for the lights mostly. Now she is 8 months and STILL loves to play with it. The rymes and lights ... It is also very durable. She beats it and drops it and it still works !!!

Toy good for young babies but not for toddlers
My son received this when he was two months old. He played with it and seemed to like it until he became mobile. The buttons are easy to press for a baby, which is nice. The spinning center and flashing lights caught his attention but that is just about all this toy does so he quickly lost interest once he began crawling and wanting more interaction from his toys.Over the last year, we have kept it around and he doesn't go to it on his own anymore. If I show the toy to him, he'll push the buttons once or twice then toss it aside. My 3-year old will continually press the center button to see it spin around but he's not getting anything develomental out of it, he's just doing it to be annoying and wearing down the batteries!I would say that this toy is good for maybe up to about 9 months but after that, my son has completely lost interest in the toy. I do not see how they have rated this as an "up to 36 months" toy because there really isn't much to the toy to keep an older baby's interest. It does show pictures of animals and has nursery rhymes but, to me, that is for young babies and older kids should be learning other, more complex things. So, it was a neat toy for awhile but I wouldn't recommend it if your baby is over about 9 months old.

Not impressed
My daughter got this "CD player" for her birthday. It plays some cheesy renditions of nursery rhyme songs, but the only thing my daughter wants it to do is make the power drill sound that it makes when you push the big button on the front. Very annoying!
