I had never seen a wooden watch before receiving this as a gift. I'm very impressed. It is very light in weight, even when compared to my much smaller titanium Skaagen. It's very comfortable to wear. The band isn't much thicker than similar metal link bands, but the watch case itself is a bit on the thick side (necessary for strength). In the first couple of hours of wear I had 2 comments on it, both favorable. It looks like it would cost quite a bit more than the purchase price. Mine is walnut, and being a woodworker and having worked with walnut, I know it to be a very tough, durable hardwood that should hold up reasonably well, but it's also very difficult to work with. All of the wooden components of this watch show excellent craftsmanship. It is very well shaped with no irregularities, and it has been sanded perfectly smooth and rubbed out to a nice satin finish. There are no rough edges, chips, or cracks anywhere that I can find. Adding/removing links is a little challenging, even with the included tool. Be sure to look at the back side of the links. The removable ones have an arrow embossed on them to show the direction to push the pin out.

Purchased 2 in case I needed to take links from the extra to make it big enough. The extra links provided made it big enough. Tools to add/remove the links were also provided, so of the watch band was too big you could easily remove links too.

I love the lol and they feel but I’ve had two now and while I won’t say it’s fragile you do have to be careful.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is more of a classic-style man who also enjoys woodworking so I thought this was a nice piece which incorporates both traits. I bought it in the black sandalwood and I will say that it appears lighter in the Amazon listing than it does in person likely due to whatever lighting they used to take their photo. When I used the flash to take a photo of the watch I received, it was closer to the color in the listing image. Regardless, it is a very nice, dark wood color. It is a classic, simple style. The hands have a white stripe on them which would make me think it illuminates in the dark, but I cannot get it dark enough at the moment to test that out. It does help them stand out on the face of the watch though which is the same dark wood as the band so that may be its only function. Overall, for the price, I would definitely buy again to gift.
