Before you buy this Watch please be aware !!
I purchased this watch after a lot of thought and was impressed by the self charging claims.However the watch has now been returned for a refund after several problems and complete loss of confidence.After pairing and loading the app the watch would talk to my iPad and fill in the data for that day, however it would not create the log ongoing. Days later the watch would not report at all to the iPad.The second problem was the watch would vibrate and the screen would show the Powerwatch logo for approx 30 seconds then go back to the normal screen. The data and heart rate would be lost. This would happen at completely random times of the day and night.The GPS takes a long long time to register so if you are going out on your exercise log onto the GPS at least ten minutes before you want it.Lastly when I contacted the manufacturer asking what an item was on the screen display they answered in hours.When I asked about the problems I was having with it, well I’m still waiting days after. Three emails no answers.I have lost all confidence in this watch and company back up.

Just avoid
It's a good concept but it's badly let down by buggy software, both on the watch and the companion app.I've had mine less than a week and had to reset it several times as data wasn't syncing to my phone.It loses connection to my phone when my phone is less than a metre away.Reviews online and even the dedicated Facebook group are littered with complaints.It obviously thinks I'm dead (no heartbeat) and I can go days without sleeping according to this watch.I'm hopeful the next firmware update might improve it, but as this is their third stab at making a watch I'm not hopeful.

Breaks after 6 months, no refund/replace
It was working fine for about 6 months, but then in a matter of a week it started to disfunction. First the select button stopped responding, then after another day it started some endless restart loop, after the battery drained it was not possible to charge it again even with the charger. Customer support said they will send a return label, but it has been more than 4 months and no return label yet. Every time I ask when, the answer is "please wait". My guess is that they will never sent this return label.

Not recommended
The software and app for this watch are not great, which is a great shame as the USP for this watch - battery life - is fantastic. The major problem however, is that the support is pretty terrible. I had issues during the warranty period and had to do full resets a few times. But the killer was when the (supposedly shockproof) watch dropped on to a hard surface from less than a metre and was rendered completely dead. I sought support and over a period of weeks with messages going back and forth the upshot was that my watch was out of warranty but they couldn't offer an out of warranty repair service due to "low inventory". So after just two and a half years I have a dead watch that they can't even offer a paid repair service for. Stick with Garmin, I'm going to buy the Instinct Solar 2 which also has a very good battery life, a properly working app and watch software and after sales support that doesn't just shrug its shoulders when a watch is out of warranty.

Didn't work from new. Returned with 48 hours. Great idea, pathetically poor quality
