I should have bought this years ago. It works great. It is sturdy enough and yet no too soft. The only drawback I see (or rather feel) is that it it tends to "creep up the back as time goes by. Of course you can pull down on the back of the brace and put it back in place but if you have it underneath clothing, as I do, it's a little awkward. I would put (as an option) a strap to go between the legs so it keeps the brace in place. I'm sure there are some out there. It might be uncomfortable but it should prevent it from creeping up negating "straightening out effect"
