Several months ago I did a fairly exhaustive search for a product for my beard that didn't contain any ingredients on my somewhat extensive list of things that I am allergic/sensitive to. This list includes several tree nuts and other food items of that nature, so products that included things like almond oil and/or coconut oil were out of the question; which made the search difficult as these seem to both be quite common in beard/hair care products.After coming across this product, I read the ingredients list on the back shown in one of the pictures, and even though I thought it was a little pricey, it seemed to fit all my criteria, so I gave it a shot. When I received the first package, the ingredients matched what was in the photographs, and upon use, I was satisfied. Both I and (more importantly) my girlfriend both enjoyed the fragrance, and it seemed to work well enough. Good sheen and coverage without being greasy.I finally run out of the initial tin I had purchased, and ordered a replacement. Unbeknownst to me, between my first and second order, they COMPLETELY changed the formula for the product which not only smells inferior to the previous product, but also now includes coconut oil, which caused me to have quite the allergic reaction. Meanwhile the photos on the product page still have the original packaging with the previous formula listed.I've included photos of the actual current label/ingredients list.

Greasy, smells bad, just doesn't add up to a 'conditioner'
I got a wavy, stiff beard, that touches my upper chest, long. Have always been using the Honest Amish beard balm and loved it. Decided to give this a shot.First thing you'll notice is that smell, plastic’y, crude, not something I like on my beard. I don't think people around me liked it either and it only made me uncomfortable. I wouldn’t mind all of that if the product actually worked. It made my beard more stiff, greasy. It did have a decent hold but there again, it held every strand separate, like a weird / rookie wax application. It did weigh down my beard though and added some gloss to it. I tried convincing myself to using it for a week but when you have a beard as long as mine, you gotta look sharp. I won’t be buying this again but that’s just my experience. Cheers !

Works great, smells strongly
The first thing you'll notice about this balm is that it smells very, very strongly. It took some getting used to, but after using this product for several days, the smell grew on me and I can't complain about it anymore. It softened my beard really well, although I was hoping it would smooth it down against my face as well, it didn't seem to, no matter how much I used. All-in-all, I'd say it's a great product that works as advertised.

Not bad but pricey
Not much difference between this and Honest Amish other than the smell and price. Not too greasy/oily, keeps my skin from drying out and leaves my beard soft. If I had to choose between the two. I'd buy this one again because the smell isn't overwhelming and it seems to go on smoother, it doesn't get gritty like Honest Amish tends to do with temperature fluctuations. Overall I'm satisfied until something better and cheaper comes around.

a disappointed long time repeat costumer.
I Have wanted to try the Beard balm for some time because the beard soap has been sooo good. After using it once or twice and with a warm bathroom, when I opened the tin it looked like some one pushed there thumb down around center. I'm sure it was an air pocket that collapsed leaving this nice crater, and losing about two weeks or more of balm. "Oh Man" What can you do.

For just a goatee or the full Wookie I recomend this wax to anyone looking to call their beard to arms and look their finest, this wax not only holds your hair in the same general position you desire but it gets a nice glossy sheen that adds a twinkle to your beard nobody can deny the charm of. If your looking to purchase this for a special somebody I say your money cant be put to better use, its a gift for the both of you.

I like that it isn't heavy or greasy
Disclaimer: I purchased this as a mustache wax after finding glowing reviews of it as such a product all over the interwebs.I like that it isn't heavy or greasy, but it doesn't do much for styling unless you already have a natural curl to your mustache. This will not help you style your facial hair, but it will help give it a little support and keep it looking shiny and clean.Just dab a little and comb it through, it's simple and smells nice.Not much more to say. For the price, I wish the internet had not misled me so much, I could have purchased a different but more apt mustache balm elsewhere. But overall I'm very pleased with the product itself.

Nice beard product.
I'm on my second can of this beard balm and I love it. It smells very nice, but is still subtle. It goes on easy, isn't messy, and absolutely works to calm my beard down and soften it up. The can lasts a long time too, lasted me almost a year, using it most days of the week. Highly recommended.

Not what it used to be it seems.
The true list of ingredients on the tin is different and inferior from the website description.There is sunflower oil in it as a major ingredient, not olive oil.Really not worth it.

Not my favourite scent
It holds the hair, but to me it smells like fly spray which is unfortunate as goes right under your nose. The smell does wear off after an hour or two though.

Expensive and not that great
Smells good but does little to control the beard or moustache. This cannot be recommended and at £20, is a bit of a rip off.

I have a longer beard and this is great for conditioning it and smells amazing. Leaves my beard soft and smelling great. Not a strong hold wax for moustache styling.

Not much use for shorter beards
I like the smell and the confidence that it will have a better effect on a longer beard. However, the hold it has on a shorter, less manicure-able beard is minimal.

It's a great product, gentle yet nourishing, it offers stability not massive amounts of 'hold'. I think the mixtures change as previously it smelled a lot nicer. The scent is still ok but not that musty, oaky manliness it was before.
