Color:Вundlе оf Fіvе DAP is used as a fertilizer. DAP is also used as a yeast nutrient in winemaking and brewing mead, as an additive in some brands of cigarettes purportedly as a nicotine enhancer, to prevent afterglow in matches, in purifying sugar, as a flux for soldering tin, copper, zinc and brass and to control precipitation of alkali-soluble and acid-insoluble colloidal dyes on wool.

Works well and a pound lasts me a very long time!
I originally purchased this for mead making, but have moved away from using it solely in favor of using it as one component of my nutrient additions with Fermaids K and O. However, this stuff does work quite well by itself in other recipes and I still use it in fruit/country wines that don't need delicate treatment but do benefit from the additional nitrogen source. I've also been using it in homemade plant fertilizer mixes with great success.

Large crystals
Very happy, used 1 tsp to 1 gal of water, not sure if it is enough but the yeast love it. The crystals are the size of large salt crystals, does not seem to dissolve immediately but after 10 minutes the carboys are bubbling with action. Great value

Worked well. Kept my Lalvin EC-1118 happy and healthy as it are enough honey to produce a dry, 19% ABV mead.
