Nice punch to the gut.
I've given this sub a pretty good run thru now, and it is a great SUB for the money. Adds some very nice lows for that car audio system that doesn't have enough HZs down at the low end. Save yourself some time and have someone run your 12v line PROFESSIONALLY. I looked at doing mine, and was a nightmare on a Toyota Sienna. I paired this with a Sony MEX N5300bt, and really sounds nice. People that said their SUB smelled is a joke. Maybe they have their port blocked and the amp is overheating, or they started running the SUB at 100 volume and nearly blowing it out. Takes 90 hours for a SUB to get broken in, and not BROKEN. At 30 volume on my Sony this system is loud. If money is tight, this is a great budget SUB.UPDATE: 08-14-2024, This may be an idea for some of you that are not a fan of all the bright blue colors that scream HERE I AM. Don't get me wrong I like the bright blue, but not in CA! A little less obvious is much better. So here's what I did for super cheap. I took off the useless bright blue ring around 10" woofer that does nothing but call attention to it. It doesn't protect 90% of the woofer at all. So here's the reprint from that review.Grill review: I spent a lot of time looking at every possible grill ever made to fit my 10" Rockville subwoofer for the car. WHY? The Rockville cover is literally a bright blue ring around the outside of the sub's cone and not protecting the center at all. My other problem, the 10incher is mounted on the outside of the enclosure, and makes fitting a 10" grill a nightmare. The original blue ring, it doesn't even really fit very well anyway. Also, I had no idea how far the excursion was going out to hit a grill that was too shallow. This is a good tip for all of you looking for grills, oversize it!? So I bought 12" grill on AMZ to solve all the problems. The cover comes in an envelope and is somewhat subject to getting bent, no biggy. You get 4 mounting brackets and screws. I did a few quick measurements. I didn't have my drill and decided to go forward anyway. Luckily all four screws went in by hand in minutes, and the grill looks super good too. I partially left the old 4 screws in to reinforce the backing of the metal grill. Now no one can see in the car for bright blue anything. All that bright blue is a horrible idea, in theft mania CA.Try this out. Hope it helps. BTW, the sub is broken in now and sounds very very good.

Easy install/quick upgrade
When I first installed this subwoofer I have to admit I was underwhelmed by the performance. It added bass, but not what I hoped for. Naturally there was a break-in period, though, where it was necessary to work it in over the first couple of weeks. Much like a baseball glove it was stiff from the factory and required some time to become flexible enough to produce the base one would want. After a couple weeks of increasing performance I can happily say it is more than adequate to push the low end of my music. I have an aftermarket head unit and 4 3-way's in the doors powered by a 4 channel kenwood that handle mids and highs nicely. This thing delivers very confidently, the low end I was missing. I often find myself turning it down as it overpowers the amplified speakers in the car. At this point I couldn't be happier with my purchase (especially at the pricepoint), as it delivers solid low-end bass that rattles the neighborhood (but not the speaker). It is well built in a solid enclosure so the only thing you hear is crisply reproduced bass and no vibrations or clipping - all out of the box. I plan on giving this to my son and adding a 2 or 3 sub arrangement myself, but if I didn't upgrade I would have no complaints running this unit. I listen to lots of rap/hip-hop and it is perfect for that sort of reproduction. I hadn't heard much about rockville before this so I was weary, but wouldn't gladly recommend their products in the future.

Definitely a top grade amplified speaker and definitely worth purchasing
The media could not be loaded. **Update** Ok so I decided to hook this speaker up and do a video of it because I am definitely impressed with it. See below for info on what I used to install this speaker.I haven't hooked it up to my car stereo yet because I am waiting to have it professionally installed so I know it will be done correctly but the look of it shows that it was put together to be on the same level as the top of the line speakers. So far I really like it and once I have it installed I will update this review with a video.I used a Scosche 1600 watt max amp wiring kit and because the wires are larger than the recommended size for the amp I used SRXECT 8 AWG insulated ferrule terminals model# VE10-12. I also used a Scosche car stereo tool kit TL12VH. Everything I used can be found here on Amazon.

Great unit but strange glue or packing smell
Super easy to install complete package and sounds great. Was very happy to get this and I'm still using it but almost 2 weeks in it still has a strong oder that fills the car. I left the windows and trunk open a while to see what they're out but still has yet to do so. I think it's the insulation packing they use. Smells vaguely of fish and strong glue. So it would have five stars if it didn't smell a little funny.Update sub ripped at about 2 yr in , pretty easy to swap in a new tenants speaker and wire it to the existing amp works great! Hits even harder now. Great buy.

Hard to beat for the price!
If you’re on a budget and want overall better fuller sound this is your best choice! I’ve had it for about a year and a half now and have had zero issues besides some occasional overheating and shutting off(for its own protection and it turns back on once cooled) but it’s only happened during 3 hour trips in the Florida summer at almost full volume for the whole trip which may happen to any sub/amp. I am very happy with it for what I paid. It’s not going to shake your mirrors to death or anything but it’s going to give you good bass and has been reliable thus far! I have a newer car that has bass roll off at higher volumes and will be adding an active LOC this week so I will update after I add that to see if I can get more bass out of it!

Good value. Bass in a small package.
Just what I needed for a compact powered sub.
