This Crossbow is a real "Predator"...Maybe not for everyone!
My humble opinionPro's:Ordered this crossbow from Amazon, (really quick free shipping) looking for a crossbow that had better power, range and penetration than my Jackal. I love this crossbow but it's probably not for everyone. Well packed, assembly was fairly quick and easy. Took it outside to adjust and shoot. The 175 lb draw is fairly easy with the rope cocking device. Extremely fast and accurate with minimal scope adjustment. I did have to mount the scope as far forward as possible to get the proper eye relief. Be sure to use thread-lock on the scope mount threads so it will stay in place. The adjustable stock and cheek-piece made it feel customized and comfortable with some minor adjusting. Within a few minutes I was shooting 3" or less groups at 50 yards...awesome. The speed/power of this crossbow (375 FPS) is great though. It shoots pretty flat at long ranges. The AVI system gives it a really nice feel and cuts vibration down a lot.Con's:At 9lbs it's a little bit heavier than I expected. I shot it well enough off-hand but ended up using a rest to keep it steady while fine-tuning the scope. The penetration it has makes pulling bolts out of my practice target a real workout. It just plain "buries" the bolts in the target a lot deeper than my slower (315 FPS) Jackal crossbow.Overall, I'd recommend it and believe it's a great combination of price versus performance that's hard to beat.

scope base at stock need improvement
Powerful, sinks bolts into my round hay bale deeper than my compound bow, actually out of sight. My problem, holding back the rating is the scope base mounting at the stock is not secure enough and I can't adjust for windage (left and right) 30 clicks and no change in bolt/target location.

I can find no major faults with the accuracy or capabilities of this crossbow. I am using 1 pin out to 40 yards. It is fast. Be sure and use some kind of lock tite on the scope nuts and bolts. They will keep getting loose. After you get it all zeroed in, I recommend using lock tite on the bolt that attaches the bow to the stock, although it never came loose. The assembly instruction are quite lacking. Come on Barnett and update your instruction booklet. I knew the crossbow was heavy and it is. Actually it is heavier than I thought it would be. However that is OK since I won't be packing it very far to my deer stand. Anything I can say here, I already knew (by internet searches) before I bought it. I read reviews and watched any video I could find. I like speed and I like a good value for my money. For the price of the Predator crossbow and the speed it produces, I could not find any other crossbow that compares. I am happy with it. I do wish it had a 4 bolt quiver. The reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rates was because of it's weight.

Predator crossbow
Ok so I got my new Predator crossbow quickly enough. Real easy to put together, and after adjusting the include cocking rope to accommodate me, attempted shooting it this weekend. Well, the first few shots went as advertised, then the plastic piece that holds the arrow in the track snapped into all kinds of little pieces. Currently I am waiting to get word back from Barnett on a replacement part for this, so until then it's just something nice to look at. I would also advise on getting a sling for this as it does have a little bit of weight to it, and replacing the included scope with a cheaper red dot sight, as the scope will not actually adjust to zero at even 15 feet. So when you are attempting any shots at 15 yards or more you're actually having to spend a good bit of time looking for your arrow which bounced off the ground and disappeared. Now once I actually started aiming a lot higher, the grouping was actually very tight together, and was getting very nice penetration into my Rhinoblock target. I wish I had not had these issues so I could actually rate this higher, maybe once these issues are addressed it can get more stars.

saftey problem
I bought a new barnet jackal three years ago. Around the end of last season when I would cock it the saftey would lock up. I would have to stick a key in and release the safety by pushing up on the spring and sliding the safety foward. Not good. I didn't read any reviews about this problem. I think I'll go to a different name brand.GOOD BY BARNET

Very good item, Good constuction & well made
Very good item, Good constuction & well made. Only problem is the loading rope broke when trying to cock the main line to trigger & the roller nearly took my right second toe off. Still healing.Great shipping & fast. This is one fine Cross Bow & plenty of power. Be careful this is a beast & not for the light & punny.

A thing of beauty
This quiet monster is a force to be reckoned with. The deadly accuracy is amazing. I upgraded the scope immediately and bought a good set of bolts. Get a charging assist for this. They are dirt cheap and help a lot if you are out practicing. You definatly do not want to wind up on the business end of this monster!

Accurate
Good crossbow. Heard lots of problems with Barrnet crossbows, but I have had very few. The trigger assembly is a piece of stamped steel that I had to place a couple of tack welds on to help stabilize the scope. The factory scope is garbage, so I bought a Weaver tactical scope and mounted to the bow. Now I have something that is useable. My next crossbow won't be a Barrnet, but I am happy with this bow.
