great tape
this is a really great product, it is a bit tricky to peel the sheet off of the tape, and i wish it was less time consuming to peel it. the tape is very thin, i would prefer it to be thicker because i feel like the thinness makes it peel off the furniture easier, but its nice that its able to fit onto jagged corners. it deters my cats from scratching the chairs. the only issues i have is that it lifts overtime and is hard to peel off the tape sheet. i’d recommend it to another cat owner. it is functional and generally easy to use.

put on curtains to keep kitty from climbing them!!!
I got this because my son and his girlfriend got me a demon kitty. It is an absolute menace. She not only steals things out of my purse but hides them as well! I have no idea where my office key ring is!!! Worst of all was her hanging off of my curtains!! I put a few strips of this on my curtains and it did the trick! Now I have the entire width of my curtains protected. I just make about 8" strips and placed them verticaly 2" apart to start across my curtains. They are gauze curtains and snag easily. I had to close in a couple of the gaps between each strip where she found them particularly interesting! No more ridiculous demon kitty hanging from my curtains!!

Works well - hard to peel off backing
Thickness is perfect, and it’s easy to peel off the roll and apply. It was pretty difficult to then peel the backing off, it took a while with each piece. The roll will last a while. It’s been an immediate deterrent against my cats scratching our couch. I can definitely see having to reapply it some what frequently as it looses its stickiness as things get on it.

Works so well
We recently found a 2mo old kitten and she became very active after about being 3mos old. I sort of live in the living room, partitions by a curtains, furniture and a gate. She usually isn't interested going outside when my girlfriend and I stay in the room but once either of us are out, she tries to climb or jump out the fence looking for us. My other family members are pretty allergic to cats so I had to keep in her the room. We bought a 4 panel partition but she also began climbing like Spiderman. I ended up buying this tape and it sure did the magic. We put on nail caps and the tape on the partition and now she physically CANNOT climb anymore. I do hear her trying to climb sometimes and she would pounce on the partition to get a grip but you can hear her slide off of it trying. I later checked and the tape remained the way I applied it so it has good adhesion to it, but at the same time, the adhesion doesn't seem so strong that it'll destroy the surface of my partition which is nice. One thing to note is the adhesion on the furniture side is just a right stickiness but the adhesion side for the cat/kitten is pretty strong. It's strong enough that it will stick the curtains that partition my room and the curtain lint barely affects the stickiness. Just make sure to apply the tape firmly cause once you peel the wax paper off, it gets very hard to apply. I did buy my second roll cause it works so good.

Could work with (NOT a Persian cat)
Well works I guessBut have to constantly have to change he tape as the cat sticks to ALL the furniture or whatever he’s deterred from so new tape always needed …. He’s trying to beat the system. So he can climb and scratch whatever he wants! I’m not sure how trainable Persian cats are! Stubborn fella.

Best way to keep cats from clawing couch
This scratch tape really works for our cats to keep them from clawing our couch. We have used it for years and are replacing it so it gets sticky again. It’s very easy to apply to our furniture and works almost instantly. It does have a slight gloss to it visually so you can tell it’s there, but from a distance you don’t even notice it and you quickly get used to it. We’ve found this is our best option both visually and actually works.

Rips fibers out of couch!
This just high-tack double sided clear tape rebranded. (Quick tip for peeling the backer on any double sided tape - before you apply it, fold over a small corner so it sticks to itself. This will give you a corner of the liner paper to grab on to after you apply it.)Why one star? The adhesive is way too aggressive. You can see in the photo it ripped the fabric fibers right off of my Lovesac couch. It did the same to another brand of high end chair. Now it looks like they were scratched by a cat. Luckily I can reverse the Lovesac side, not so much on the other chair. Very glad I tested this in two areas first before I covered more.If this adhesive were lower-tack, like the backing for the plastic carpet protector contractors use, it would still stick enough and not rip the fibers out of your furniture. If you decide to try this one (or any other brand) test a small area on the back of your couch or under a cushion first.

Wish I'd found this stuff earlier
I have 4 cats. 2 of them are vertical scratches and their favorite scratching material is wood. They have tried to destroy the bannister that goes around the basement stairs. Someone told me about this stuff and it is amazing. It sticks to any surface, even cloth, and it's virtually invisible. Doesn't tear anything up when you're ready to remove it and best of all, it really works. It has deterred my cats from scratching everywhere I've put it. I highly recommend it.
