The plates are exactly as described. The colors are in register and bright. I order one set of four to check quality. I was so pleased that I ordered another two sets.

It looks great. The dinner plates are larger than expected. The set is heavy duty. Great for outdoor entertaining.

I never knew what the big deal was about melamine dishes. I always thought they were just an expensive version of cheesy plastic plates. With a need to have a nice set of poolside unbreakable dishes, I decided to take the plunge and I purchased a set of Portofinos. When they arrived (in perfect condition), I finally understood what the fuss was all about. These are definitely NOT cheesy… the pattern is beautiful, colors are vivid, and I love the weight of each piece. You can’t put them in the microwave and although they are dishwasher safe, instructions say to put them in the top shelf. I’ll most likely hand wash these to make sure they last a long while. Since I liked the first set so much (not to mention a great price), I immediately ordered a second! How’s that for a great endorsement! Highly recommend.

Beautiful, unbreakable, mimic real china. Rated highly by Consumer Reports, which is why I chose them. Unfortuately not microwavable and recommend only the top shelf of dishwasher, which wouldn't work with large plates.

I ordered the complete set for my wife and I. We used corelle set since the blue velvet roses came out man years ago. So I wanted something that would not break like stoneware-ceramic etc. These Portofino Dishes are fantastic and the price is wonderful. Love everything about the serving pieces also. Cannot wait to use them on our new outdoor dining area. The 11 inch plate dish held a two layer cake, that's how strong they are. These are beautiful melamine dishes. I like them so much that I put them on display in my china cabinet, and they brighten up that entire side of the room.

Heavy duty for outside dining, no more floppy paper plates to balance. Very colorful, sturdy and unbreakable, ideal for dining on the deck . Great price and top rack safe for dishwasher.
