This FM transmitter works flawlessly. Bluetooth connects quickly, calls are clear, and music sounds great. The extra USB ports are a bonus for charging on the go. Perfect upgrade for older cars.

Great bluetooth transmitter with one potential flaw
I read a few reviews on here that said the device does not have an off button, and some people said that their battery died when they left it plugged in. The device I was shipped did not have an off button either and heeding the warning of others I've always unplugged it before exiting my car. I have also seen that some people have gotten replacements that DO have off buttons, though I'm not concerned because I have a jumper pack in the case of a dead battery. But lets move on from that and talk about the good aspects. This thing works, and it works great. It's super cheap, super portable and small, and it connects to my phone every time without issues. Even after unplugging it, either it or my phone remembers the connection and as soon as I plug it in they both connect without me having to press anything. The interface on the device is also very straight forward and it has play/pause and song skip functionality in the knob. I maybe would have preferred this to be a button and not a twisting action because sometimes I turn it too much going over a bump and skip 2 songs by accident, but it's an added functionality that I don't think needed to be there and it's definitely appreciated. The signal to my radio is great too. I've had other AM/FM transmitters that didn't even have Bluetooth and they sounded like crap and would get interference from incoming radio stations. This device has no static and great sound even at high volumes. I'm a bass head and my music sounds great coming from this thing. The plastic housing is solid and it's a snug fit in my cigarette lighter. The included USB and C-Type charging ports are just an added bonus and honestly I can't recommend this product enough!

Great for older cars with no Bluetooth or that doesn’t stream music from phone
This worked well for a Mercedes C300 where the Bluetooth only works for phone conversation and not for music audio from the phone.Pros: Affordable, well built, sound is good (digital FM quality without distortion), has charging ports (USB A, and even usb C) with QC3.0, shows the FM channel on device screen and has the ability to change to whatever frequency is open in the spectrumCons: Mine did not come with instructions (one star off) and a minor issue, until the BT starts streaming music from phone, the car may play an available FM station (as set, loudly) if in the new location the frequency is in use by a FM station (this is the nature of this kind of devices, not just this one. That being said, so far it appears to be a good product - I would buy it again.

Great sound that just works!
FM Transmitter tech has come a long way. I bought a similar unit March 2008 from Woot - a Philips model. Despite having programmable frequencies, the audio quality and range was poor.I bought this one recently to put into a new vehicle that only has a CD player, set it to 107.7, and stuck in a USB thumb drive with mp3's. It instantly began playing, with very good sound quality and loudness. None of the usual crackling of poor FM transmission. I then tried it with Bluetooth. The volume wasn't quite as loud from Bluetooth as from playing on a USB thumb drive, but still very good sound quality. The controls are simple, the buttons are solid and very clear when you've pressed them, and it just works, and works very well for the price.I haven't tried it for longer driving periods yet or tried the charger ports, but I expect those to work just as well as the rest of the unit. However, it does what I want it to flawlessly; I have an easy way to get bluetooth connection to my phone through FM radio that sounds very good quality and with minimal fuss or hassle. The Extra bass button works well and is a nice added touch, with good bass sound. It was a good price, good value and just simply works and does what it's designed for very well with a compact, clean design. That's pretty much everything I could ask for, especially considering that I'd tried to use similar units years ago and they almost never worked well. Kudos for a good product!

Now I have Bluetooth in my old car!
I have used small transmitters before with limited success but the reviews for this Imden unit were extremely positive, so I gave it a try. The CD player in my car had quit working and the 2005 model did not have BT built into the head unit. The Aux power output is located in a recessed 'cubby' and I was afraid that the body of the Imden might not fit once it was pushed in, but luckily it was a perfect fit.I found a low reception frequency on my radio and twiddled the tuning knob on the Imden to match. The resultant sound quality from my I phone was really good. So then I plugged in a thumb drive with MP4A tracks on it and the quality seemed even better. The small knob for advancing through your files is very small and when I am driving, I sometimes over-twiddle but it's easy to skip back, so this isn't really a major headache. The bass boost is really quite impressive and at first I didn't think I would use it very much. But I find myself cranking up the bass on orchestral pieces and enjoying the deeper, richer response. The build quality is really very good and I am impressed with the design and functionality. At this price point you really can't go wrong. If it lasts for a couple of years it will be worth it... but I am thinking it will survive longer than that.Overall I couldn't be happier. My problem is solved with a good quality device that was a reasonable cost.
