I used this product to mount a bluebird house. It worked great!!

This is a sturdy, metal flange. The only problem I had was installing it. One of the thumb screws that came with it would not fit properly. I was able to use one, and that seems to be sturdy enough to hold the birdhouse on the pole.

When we bought this, we thought it would fit on the 1-inch pole that was already in our yard, but discovered we had to get a 3/4-inch pipe in order to use it to mount our large bird house on the pole. Once we had done that, it worked very well and the bird house is doing well now, despite several strong storms since we put it up. It was easy to install and we made use of all 8 of the holes on the top plate for a solid grip.

Easy to connect to pole & birdhouse

I used this bracket for mounting a bluebird box on a metal pole. I wanted a heavier pole than a 1-inch O.D. and had on hand an 8-foot galvanized pipe with an outside diameter of 1.125 inches. I took a short length of 1-inch pipe, inserted it into the wider pipe, leaving just enough of the narrower pipe exposed to fit the neck of the flange, and drilled both pipes securing them with a through bolt and outside nut. It all worked perfectly. I can easily remove the short section of pipe with the bluebird box attached for easy cleaning. The bracket has sufficient and well-placed screw holes for attaching a variety of bird house and feeder shapes.

This item is sturdy and well made. Even the screws are quality! If a squirrel can leap on the birdfeed, this bracket won't stop it. BUT if the pole it's attached to is sturdy, it won't break! We have some very roly-poly squirrels leaping from trees to land on the feed this attaches to a pole without damage to feeder or squirrel. If you are feeding birds, it's best to have a sense of humor! I'd recommend this to a friend as a sturdy phalange. In fact, I bought one for a family member.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a flange to hang my bluebird house so that I can adjust the height on the pole as I monitor the nest. This works perfectly and fits great on my wbu pole. It does not come with screws so I will need to look for those to attach the flange to the nestbox. Very quick shipping. Thank you.
