Fab bar the little flies
Everything bar one was excellent about this product. The idea, eco friendly, compact, packaging, storability, instructions, ease of use, lack of odour, all great. However, luckily I'd read one revenue that mentioned little soil flies. So having had flies in wet compost once and not wanting to repeat the experience, I rehydrated in a lidded container. Within 10-20mins there were flies. Unbelievable, not sure how as no sign in dry product and I used boiling water but there they were. Not sure I dare use the product and just left it, lid on for now. Such a shame as would love to recommend. Maybe the processing needs to include heat sterilising. The flies though harmless are unsightly and annoying also difficult to get rid of. Seems to be an issue with lots of composts. Please do let me know if you've found a house plant compost that doesn't have little critters 😖
