Great small feeder. Perfect for tiny finches and house sparrows
You probably won't get medium and large birds to come to this feeder, but it's perfect for the little guys!I have a variety seed in it and, within one week of putting it up, have seen many small birds eating at it each morning and throughout the day. More come, daily.I bought this feeder to put outside a window so my cat could be entertained by the birds. It's been working great! I have the feeder on a very small pole that's meant for yard toys and, even though it sways a little, it has been very durable and reliable. I have not had issues with raccoons or squirrels - yet (despite the raccoons constantly meddling with trash cans in the neighborhood). No issues with bugs either. Water seems to drain well. I live in humid Florida and the plastic windows have not clouded over. It's easy to use, hang, and it looks great even at the front of the house. Doesn't look cheap even though it's plastic. This was a great purchase for the price. However, if you want something for medium and larger birds, you'd want to go for something a little bigger than this.

pleasantly surprised
We bought this feeder to replace one that we'd had for 20 years and which had blown off its hook and broken several times. The old one was a lot more expensive than this one so I didn't have too high expectations, figured it wouldn't cost too much to replace it if it fell apart. I was very pleasantly surprised. It holds a lot, it has a tough wire cord, it seems to be squirrel-proof, it has a smaller "footprint" and didn't blow away or even lose its seeds when we had a very strong wind. Definitely exceeded my expections. I still have one worry, which is that the lid (you add seeds by unscrewing the lid) has a press-and-turn fit. I'm a bit nervous that over time of twisting in the wind it may somehow loosen and come off. However, it's just a worry and has not happened so far. Thus, so far I'm quite pleased!

FROM ANGRY BIRDS TO CHEERFUL BIRDS
The price was great. I was a little concerned about the string attached to the lid. I thought that it wouldnt hold the weight of the food and birds and possibly collapse to the ground. To my surprise, i have been using this all summer and the feeder hasnt detached from the lid. I attached this to a shepherds hook but you could also buy a gardening S hook and attach the hook to a tree branch then attach the feeder's string to the hook. The only con about this feeder is that the birds love it and now every day i have over 100 birds in my yard. This has caused bird poop on my vehicles, mulch, and porch and has caused me to buy 20lb bags of food weekly. These birds need to go on a diet. LOL My 6 year old has autism and he loves watching the birds flock to our yard all throughout the day. It's even peaceful for adults to watch.

Pretty, practical and economical
So many types of birds enjoy this feeder, even some as large as crows. I especially get cardinals but even sparrows. I appreciate the little roof because even when it is drizzling the birds come to feed. Also the feed inside stays dry. The seed on the tray gets wet so I carefully remove the seed inside and put it in a bag so I can clean up the wet seed on the tray. Then I clean the inside well and dry it before adding back seed. I only have to do this if we get downpours daily. Otherwise the tray has drainage so the seed doesn’t go bad. The price for this feeder was reasonable so that’s one reason I bought it. I was just going to try out a feeder for entertainment during stay-at-home orders. I never expected it to be so practical and sturdy for that price. And I really didn’t expect birds, but I have been happily surprised! It gets me outdoors on the porch for fresh air and lots of entertainment from the birds.

Jury is still out on this product
This bird feeder replaced one I had exactly like it, but in a different color. I had it for years and needed replacing. Since I no issues with the first one, I decided it was a sure bet to get this one. However, the first day I had many birds and squirrels (ugh) at this feeder. By the end of the day, I noticed the bottom had fallen off and all the feed was on the ground. I do not know if it was caused by the weight of birds and squirrels on feeder, to have the bottom become unsnapped. I reattached the bottom and ensured it was snapped in securely. Hasn't happened again, but I am still weary about it. If it continues to happen, back it will go. Fingers crossed.

Works perfectly for my needs
I hang my birdfeeder on a suction cup hook on my kitchen window. Although the suction works well, I appreciate that this bird feeder is relatively lightweight and therefore doesn't strain the ability of the suction cup to hold it. I also like that it comes completely apart for cleaning, something previous birdfeeders haven't done. Although I gave it 5 stars for sturdiness, I don't really know how sturdy it is. Every now and then the suction cups fail and whatever feeder is hanging falls two stories to the ground. I'm pretty sure this one would break, as the plastic it's made of is not strong and heavier ones have broken in the past. However, the fact that this feeder is relatively inexpensive is a plus in that regard, as it wouldn't cost a lot to replace it.

Great Feeder
Best little birdie feeder! It’s great for small songbirds...house finches and gold finches love it. It took a whole week for our tiny birdbrains to find the feeders (bought 2 of these) but now it’s a birdie party all day long! It shades them and gives them a place to plop and eat. It’s small in terms of a place to perch, so sparrows are having a hard time but they’re more ground feeders anyway. I advise using clean birdseed - where the shells have already been removed. This isn’t a messy feeder but the birds do spill - and what’s on the ground gets quickly eaten by the ground feeders. Even the hummingbird is jealous! Only suggestion would be to make a larger version with more perching space cod larger birds. Excellent price and storage capacity!
