Acco Brand Binder Clips, Large, 1 Box, 12 Clips/Box (72100)

I overlooked the fine print description of the width of the clips, so they turned out to be much bigger than I had anticipated. The ones that I needed are approximately 1.30 inches wide. But these are 2 inches wide (speaking of the black part). But I have finally found a use for these 2 inch ones… I use them to clamp the edges of the trash bag that is draped over the edges of the trashcan to keep the bag from being pulled down into the can when something heavy is tossed into the can.😁

These are perfectly good for their intended purpose, unless you were counting on being able to bind a full inch of papers. I admit I have a slightly different use for binder clips than they are designed for. I have used them to clamp plastic sheet or various fabrics over 3/4" PVC pipe (which has an outside diameter of right around 1 inch) to make a photo light box and other projects. So I take that 1 inch of binding capacity that is assured in the product information pretty seriously. The old clips I bought are big enough to work with 3/4" pipe, but these that I just ordered are not. It seems everyone who makes these jumbo binder clips these days is making them with a slightly narrower spine — to save on material costs? Who knows. Anyway, these will be used for more conventional uses, but I'll have to find some other hack for my PVC pipe structures.

I NEEDED LARGE CLIPS FOR MY SMALLER BAGS OF POTTING SOIL & MIX. THIS CLIPS ARE STURDY, CLOSE TIGHTLY, AND DO THE JOB! VERY PLEASED.

I buy these along with small, flat, strong magnets and make my own bag clips. I glue the magnets on and place on my fridge. Way more durable than plastic clips and saves money since I don't have to replace broken ones, only the ones lost by my children. Can also just be used to clip other items together (like documents) since the magnets are small and don't interfere. I also clip some to the edge of my desk to hang headphones or keep cables out of the way.

I have been using these perfect (for me) clamps for a variety of food bags for a wide variety of food types, and there could not be a better product for that purpose. They hold tightly closed a variety of bags of varying materials and sizes (they're good for most any size beyond truly tiny bags, for which smaller versions of the exact same design would do nicely) closed tightly, keeping them airtight and bug-free. Not a one of the twenty that I now own, at least some used year-round, has ever become weaker or ever had the three parts of which it is made (the black clamp and the two silvery things that open and close it) separate or break. Get these now before Amazon raises the price again!

price was good and they came in handy. I purchased these for the main purpose of clipping blankets together around my plants during freezes. The price was fair and these worked great.
