Works great with my Tesla hitch on Model Y . Adult Medium and X-Large gravel bikes
Used with my Tesla hitch (2”) standard Tesla receiver.Easy install. More than adequate clearance from bumper and hatch . Used to carry to gravel bikes . Very well built. Bikes stay secure. No wobble or rattles from the rack or bikes . Use Velcro straps to secure bike wheels front and back. Bikes have Great ground clearance . A little heavy to install and remove . Not sure my wife could manage alone .

Perfect with one BIG exception
It’s been discontinued. I will get to why this is an issue in a sec.First ever trailer hitch, bike rack, and first time installing and I did all myself with the exception of tightening the big important bolt. it is very easy to figure out even if you lack basic mechanical skills like myself. It held two E Bikes through curvy mountain roads, stop and go freeway traffic up to 85 miles per hour and did it without wobbling or scaring the bejesus out of us while driving. The BIG exception is the big important bolt that holds everything in place is threaded and you need a 19 mm socket and small handled socket wrench to tighten it properly and even with The appropriate tool if you don’t have the hand strength to turn that thing super tight in a very awkward position you’re SOL and you have to get help from somebody else. I’m not a weakling and I could not for the life of me get in that awkward place with a big socket wrench, which doesn’t come with it by the way. Most trailer pins are just that pins they aren’t threaded and because it requires a threaded pin getting a pin that locks is near impossible. THIS IS WHY it being discontinued is a problem, the part for this unit is a Yakima DeadLock and there is ONE place you can order and it takes weeks to arrive. You cannot purchase a universal locking pin the nigh before you are leaving! The good news is you don’t really need a locking pin because it is SO awkward and impossible to unscrew the pin without laying under the car with the specific socket wrench thing and working up a substantial sweat to get it undone so it’s unlikely it will get ripped off. Nothing to lock your bikes to the rack while traveling though. For all of that it’s still an absolute bargain for a very decent bike rack.

Solid, Secure, and Easy to Use – Totally Worth It
I’m so glad I returned my original bike rack purchase and went with the Yakima Hitch Mount Tilting 4-Bike Rack. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell it was built to last. It’s super easy to use right away—no complicated assembly or setup. Once installed, it doesn’t shimmy or shake at all, even on longer trips. I always make sure to tighten the secure bolt with a socket for that extra peace of mind, but honestly, this thing doesn’t budge. It’s way lighter and easier to handle than the first rack I bought, and I love how simple it is to tilt and access the trunk when needed. Definitely a game-changer for transporting bikes!
