Good tripot mount, well suited to mounting at peak of roof
We needed a good sturdy and stable mount to move a WAN WiFi receiver from a dormer roof up to the peak, in preparation for installing solar panels on a nearby garage which was going to otherwise block the receiver. Further complicating matters is we have a fairly steep-pitched metal roof. This tripod mount seems to have been perfect for the job, with the L-shaped feet able to rotate so as to lay flat against the slope, with one leg on one side of the roof and two legs on the other. I had been worried I might have to bend the feet to fit the roof, but that turned out not to be the case. The construction of the mount is solid and the brass nuts at the middle and top allow for pretty easy leveling of the post once installed. The post itself is steel apparently, which meant I was able to just use a small magnetic bullet level for that part. It was a little fussy to get the post perfectly vertical, but not that bad. You might need a wrench to loosen them a bit to start with.If installing permanently like I was doing, you will need mounting bolts, and in our case we wanted a some protection and sealing. For that reason, I also ordered the 'Ambient Weather EZ-46-3 Tar Pad Kit for Roof Tripod Installation', which comes with six appropriately sized lag screws and three tar pads to go between the tripod legs and the roof. The whole thing took me maybe 30 minutes to install and it seems really solid.

Installed, does the job
It holds my LTE antenna on my roof. Very secure when installed right. Do not overnighten the aluminum security bolts on the mast mount or you will risk breaking one like I did. The poles itself seem to be just fine, but the hardware it comes with is cheap. Human pressure on a ratchet was enough to snap one of the screws in half. If you buy this antenna mount, you will be satisfied by its strength and durability. But it's recommended you get yourself some new, strong nuts and bolts for the mast mount.I installed this easily with an EZ pitch pad kit. You'll need a bolt driver, a drill, a ratchet, a few sockets, and a blow torch to adhere the tar to the exposed tripod feet after installation.1. Get your ladder (remember ladder safety!2. Get your tools on the roof.3. Expand tripod by spreading the poles and pushing the mast down into place.4. Pick your spot.5. Adjust the feet by rotating them. They are on a rivet. It takes a bit of muscle to get them flush to the roof.6. Put two lag bolts in each foot bracket. Use your manly muscles!7. Tear paper off of one side of tar, apply to a foot over the bolts and mold the tar flat against the bracket. Tear other side of paper off when done.8. Light your blow torch.9. Pretend you are Ghost Rider while heating tar. ;) Careful! If near shingles or a wall, stop immediately if you begin to see smoke.10. Repeat 7-9 for the other two feet. 11. Let the tar settle for 24 hours for proper strong adhesive. When done you will have a water tight seal over your lag bolts and tripod feet!12. Tighten the mast security bolts and make sure the pole does not move if you give it a strong wiggle.13. Loosen a bolt on the lower set of security bolts. Strip ground wire, wrap around bolt, tighten bolt as a terminal, wrap wire around tripod pole.14. Attach ground wire from tripod to your grounding box.13. Continue with antenna installation instructions provided by the manufacturer of your antenna. Make sure you ground your antenna as well!14. Water tight installation lightning strikes can't stand!

Lightweight and Affordable
This tripod is lightweight and the 3ft pipe is a combination 2" and 1.25", so it will accommodate any antenna element you might use and the price was affordable.

Works for DTV sat dish!
Good and sturdy, easy assembly. Works for my new DirecTV satellite dish. Even the DTV tech commented how nice it was and definitely better than most he sees. Since he sees a lot of them, I take that as his approval too.

No complaints, great product.
Not gonna lie, I did not pick this on my own. My Direct TV guy guided me. I live in FL, this is inside my 3rd floor balcony of my townhome and it is steady as a rock. I will say, because this is FL and because this is on a balcony really high, we decided to put a couple of cement blocks from Home Depot on it so that not to take any chances and ensure it stayed steady 24/7. This thing has lived through Hurricane Matthew, storms, wind, water etc. no problem. All we can say is make sure to get someone who knows what they are doing, it's a bit heavy and needs to be set up properly so there are no problems. So far can't complain and its been 2 years or so.

Perfect Fit For My Needs
This mast arrived on time, and was very well packaged. I'm 100% pleased with this mast. It's made of very nice quality metal, very sturdy and the bolts that are used to tighten the 20 foot galvanized mast that I put in the tripod are nicely machined and are rustproof. I have a nearly 10 foot Ringo 6 meter antenna on top of the 20 foot mast, and have no problems in the recent high winds we've had over the last few weeks. Each of the feet have 3 holes in them, and I have used 3-10 inch steel tent spikes in each of the feet to anchor the mast. These tent spikes resemble large spikes that you would use for heavy lumber and they are coated to resist rust. They cost like a buck a piece at Walmart. I plan on purchasing again for my future antenna needs. Almost forgot, I have another of these with a 10 foot galvanized mast attached to mount a remote sensor for a weather station.

Seller asked for extra money
Good product, sturdy and well constructed tripod. We used it to mount our starlink dish on our roof and it worked well with the starlink pole adapter. However the seller asked for extra money to be privately etransfered for shipping to a rural address despite us already paying for shipping through Amazon.

Top-notch product.
Product arrived within the scheduled time period. Package was a little the worse for wear, and one of the 6 mast locking bolts was missing. However, unit appears to be sturdy and well made, and makes an excellent solid roof mount for my weather station which requires a stable mount in order to work properly. Assembly was a snap, and installation was accomplished in less than an hour. Survived a significant wind/rain storm on it's first night without any problem.
