Very good book,well designed. One detail needs to be corrected. The airport at Saigon is not surrounded by hillsor mountains .( page 24 ). Anyway strong recommendation !

This story is right tin the spirit of the first Blake & Mortimer albums

Another superb Blake and Mortimer story. This is the latest and one of the best Blake and Mortimer books. If you originally liked TinTin and want to move on to something with similar plots full of adventure then Blake and Mortimer are for you. The artwork is exquisite and stories just wonderful. A must for any true comic fan.

Superb books for Tintin fans

Fiquei frustrado com essa segunda parte. A primeira parte é muito divertida e cheia de reviravoltas de espionagem. O roteiro da continuação é o mais fraco de toda a série. Dezenas de páginas se perdem em narrativas longas, a ação é inverossímil até mesmo para quem curte esses heróis, e os elementos fantásticos surgem sem surpresa. Parece que foram autores diferentes que escreveram os dois volumes. O desenho é bom, mas não salva uma história tão fraca.Não indico. Irei reler a primeira parte com prazer mais vezes, mas esta aqui não.

Da die deutschsprachige Ausgabe laut Carlsen-Verlag-Ankündigung erst etwa ein halbes Jahr nach der französischen und englischen Ausgabe erscheinen soll und ich aber nicht so lange warten mochte, habe ich mir also erstmalig die erhältliche englischsprachige Version gekauft (erschienen bei Cinebook, Softcover, Umfang: 56 Seiten plus ein paar Werbeseiten für andere Blake und Mortimer-Alben, Format: etwas kleiner als A4). - Der Inhalt der Geschichte ist im Vorstellungstext schon ganz zutreffend umrissen, ohne allzuviele spannende Details zu verraten. Ich finde die Zeichnungen wieder äusserst gelungen, die Story ist spannend und facettenreich, mit Elementen des Spionage- bzw. Polit-Thrillers, Abenteuerliche Verwicklungen, des Phantastischen ... und man erfährt sagenhafte Aspekte über den allerersten Kaiser von China ;-) ... Es ist wirklich erstaunlich, welche Fantasie Yves Sente als Verantwortlicher für das Script in sich trägt und zu Papier bringt. Also Story und Ausführung sind prima lesenswert gelungen und allerbeste Comic-/Graphic Novel-Unterhaltung. - Weshalb ich aber "nur" 4 Sterne geben mag für dieses konkrete "Produkt" ist ein Aspekt, der nicht unbeachtet oder kaum losgelöst davon zu sehen ist: Das Album riecht derart streng nach Chemie, dass man schon von "Gestank" reden muss, der den ganzen Raum tangiert!! Ich lasse den Band nun bewusst auslüften und beobachte das noch ein bißchen. Wenn keine Besserung auftritt, werde ich ihn wohl zurückgeben müssen ... und mir dann doch noch im Juni 2020 die Carlsen-Ausgabe zulegen.

Three stars for the drawings and colors. The story is unfortunately disappointing, as most of the stories in the post-Jacop era. IMHO this is owing to the attempts of Jacop successors to twist the style of the original Blake and Mortimer. There is a clear tendency to move away from Jacop's science fiction to paranormal mystery, which is, again IMHO failed completely. I wish the authors realize this and stick to the original spirit of Jacop's Blake and Mortimer. I am aware how difficult science fiction in retro fashion might be, because post-Jacop Blake and Mortimer stories are stuck in the fifties of the twentieth century, while Jacop moved with the time. However, they took the challenge of reviving B&M, so please do it right.
