Great value!
I bought this primarily for portraits. I wanted a light, fast, compact fuji native lens that didn't cost an arm and a leg. This fit the bill. Bokeh is very nice wide open. Sharpness in the center is very good (I haven't bothered checking edges or corners because that is not super importantO. Color rendering seems very good. I have used a Nikno AI 50mm f1.8 with adapter and I like this much better due to form factor and feel. Quite happy with this purchase.

Do Not waste your money.
Very dissapointed as I really wanted to like this perfectly sized small lens.It gets one star ONLY because it has a pretty good build and the clickless f/stop is smooth and tight enough to be useful. The focus ring is also smooth and nicely damped. Aside from those qualities, this is useless as a general purpose lens. If you only want to shoot wide open or up to about f/4 it's sharp enough. Beyond F/4 it's complete garbage! Beyond f/4 it gets a soft, hazy, bright ring right in the center of the photo. Completely useless except wide open.

Great value manual focus lens
Super inexpensive for a lens, but great quality. If you want a manual lens, and not spend much $ this is the one for you!Great bang for the buck! I got this and the 35mm and have been using with my fuji xpro2, once I got used to the digital viewfinder so I could focus, and changed the settings so that it would take a picture without a lens, It worked perfectly. Working again with manual focus has slowed me down, which is pretty nice.

A lovely character lens.
A nifty fifty for £69.00. My expectations were low. Fortunately, those expectations were thwarted. For the price, this is a lovely character lens. The simple construction, microcontrast, and general character is great (and so much lighter on my Fuji X-E3 than some of the vintage 50mm lenses I use). Overall, considering the obvious limitations, this is a great purchase if you are looking for an all metal, well constructed, character lens that is workably sharp.

No contrast
I really struggled with this lens. I had big hopes for it. The pictures always turned out pale, huge lack of contrast. I tried everything. Even different camera bodies. I really wanted to like it, but a severe lack of contrast make me regret this purchase. Maybe this particular lens is bad, maybe I just got a lemon, but this is what happened. Sad truth. It makes me really doubt Pergear quality brand name. To be honest, I stay away from their lenses and other gear because of this experience.

Autsch, was soll das?
