Excellent CF-33
I use a government-issued CF-33 at work and really like the features and durability, so much so, that when it was time for a new personal laptop, I started looking for a CF-33 of my own. Problem was, to purchase new was cost prohibitive, and most of the used ones sold online are prior public safety computers and had seen heavy use, with the battle scars to prove it. I found this one advertised as "excellent" condition with some good reviews. It arrived yesterday and I was amazed at the appearance...truly "nearly new". I set it up and so far appears to work flawlessly. If the great function I've experienced continues, it will be a great value and purchase. Very pleased so far.

So far very happy with performance. Price was "good" but still too high.
Very sturdy built computer. Remanufacture job appears well executed. One battery tested at below stated acceptance standard but vendor promptly replaced the battery with no issues at all. The direct sunlight viewable screen really is viewable in bright sunlight when brightness is set to maximum level. However, at this maximum brightness level, and when running a somewhat high-CPU/GPU demand GPS mapping program, battery life is only about 4 hours.

Exceeded expectations
First thing first, I paid for this with my own money, no deals for a written review. The unit was in better shape than I was expecting, always a little hesitant about a refurbished item, but this computer was in like new condition. Small ding on hinge was all that was noticed. No scratches or worn areas. All ports function like they should and show no signs of use. Screen is flawless, the only way to tell it wasn't new is it didn't come in a factory box. Item was listed as in excellent condition, and it was. My computer actually came with the larger batteries and bumpout cover, this was an unexpected bonus. After charging the unit up I have around 18hrs of run time with the larger batteries. This is my first purchase from Ruggedbooks, but not my last. If you are in the need for a tank of a computer, do not hesitate to purchase one of these from Ruggedbooks, they have exceeded my expectations!

Great Product, Great Seller, Bad shipping from Amazon
Edit:I want to take a minute to update my review of this item. Yes my shipping from Amazon was extremely slow. But the first computer I received was great until I noticed screen retention. I updated the review then and one of the people from the company actually reached out to me. That was a guy named Gavan. He recommended some things. They unfortunately didn’t work so he told me he’d be willing to replace it. I sent the computer back and Gavan was able to replace it within a day after I shipped it back. The replacement so far is like new. I have noticed no issues yet. This touch screen computer is easy to use, portable, has phenomenal battery life, extremely durable and at a great price. Both ones that were sent to me were in practically new condition.I felt as if my first review was a bit harsh especially since the seller isn’t the ones who are shipping the product.

Factory reset NOT refurbished missing vital parts
Not rugged and not “excellent refurbished” cracks in the case, filthy and nasty parts, missing camera lense cover allowing all elements directly into the electronics. Can only be used indoors for fear of dirt or water getting inside it without the proper parts to protect it (as came from the factory)

Poor customer service, not as advertised.
I purchased one of these CF-33 computers and according to the description it is refurbished but reworked, certified and should have no visible blemishes unless closely examined.I received it a few weeks ago and there are a few blemishes visible as well as some corrosion on the exposed metal. Nothing that would effect it’s use so I’m ok with it.I can’t get the tablet to flip around in the keyboard base so I posted in the question section for a resolution. The seller came back with the generic how to unlock it, then flip it and pop it back into the keyboard. If that didn’t work then I was asked to contact them directly. These were all the steps I had been trying so I messaged them with photos explaining that it appeared that the one connector on the tablet portion was keyed, shaped in a way that prevented it from allowing the post to slide into the port. I also let them know that the screen protector on the tablet was severely scratched to the point that it was distorting the screen in certain places. I never received a response and it’s been a week.It was supposed to be a refurbished unit so I would have expected the screen film to be in new or like new shape. I would also expect a prompt response about flipping the tablet into the presentation position and if that keyed port is the problem, a resolution. If that port was swapped during the refurb with the wrong connector then it should be replaced to allow that functionality. If there is something I’m missing or doing wrong then they should respond with other things to try.I’ll update this if they step up but for now the laptop itself is rugged with many features but the support is lacking as well as the condition has fallen short of expectations.
