Excellent tool. Great price.
An excellent tool to turn over large areas. Good length handle. Easy to fit. Blade not the best quality but adequate and great value considering the low price. Much easier than using a spade due to my dodgy knee!! Fine for me but my partner found it rather heavy. Recommended.

Excellent piece of kit
Really good value superb piece of kit - great for clearing land. It is now my go to tool for my garden. But take care - it is very sharp - it goes blunt with age and this is ok as you don’t really want something like this to be razor sharp. But this is much easier to use than a fork and spade - it is heavy but easier on the back than a fork.

Good digging hoe
The media could not be loaded. Don't know why it's so hard to find a proper digging hoe in the UK, there were none in any of the garden centres or hardware stores I visited, and so decided to give this one a go.The handle is nice and long, and the head is well made with a nice edge for slicing through buried roots. The hoe is well-balanced, sturdy but not too heavy. It has enough weight for the purpose, I would not like to have a tool of this dimension that is too light and makes me put more back in than necessary. The tool's weight in itself helps to dig, especially with larger areas of dryer/heavier soil. The tool arrived assembled, but I took the handle out to oil it in properly before use - this way it lasts longer and is more convenient to work with.Work in a generous amount of linseed oil in the wood and the work it gently, but thoroughly over with medium-to-fine sand paper. Do this 3-4 times and leave the wood overnight before re-assembling and use.The wood fibres swell with the oil and the sanding seals the surface and leaves it silky smooth after the oil has penetrated properly.Well, if you're less OCD about your tools, you can just use it as it is.The diameter of the handle's bottom end is larger, so no risk of the blade falling out. This was my concern, but now that I've used it I'm happy with the design and the quality.Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the head should be heavier, which would give each swing more force.

Good Sturdy Unusual Tool
I always wanted something like this; a cross between a hoe and a shovel as I've seen people using similar on documentaries about Africa or Latin America and I have a nerdy fascination with unusual tools from overseas.Anyway, since this arrived, it's seen plenty of use and abuse and it's stood up to it well. No danger [so far] of the shaft splitting or breaking, which some other reviews have mentioned. I find it really useful for levelling rough ground as the angle of the blade is good for slicing off bumps and high spots and dragging the soil towards you. Not so good [for the same reason] for actually shovelling the material thus removed. So I tend to use this to "trawl" all the soil, or whatever, into a pile and then use a traditional shovel to take it away.

Product is a quality item at a low price. Just don’t believe the delivery date because it was 3 days late.

How to Hoe.
Excellent. But be careful how you swing it.
