I purchase the part # 90827（8.2x4.8x4.8mm）brushes for my early 80's Sears Craftsman rotary tool (which I believe are built by Dremel since they share some of the same replacement part numbers). The best way to find the proper brushes is to check your owner's manual for the replacement part number. You can download newer manuals from the manufacturer's web site or contact customer support.When I first install the brushes in the tool the motor would not run. After checking the brush holder I notice there is two tabs on the opposite corner on the bottom of the holder to keep the carbon brushes from bottoming out and get completely wear away. The two tabs corresponded to the two chamfer corners of the carbon brush. After rotating the brushes 90 degree and reinstalling in the holder the motor come to life.So if your tool is cutting in and out check the brushes. If it's down to about 2mm than try a new set.

These brushes reauire filing/grinding down the corners to fit. The picture shows beveled corners but they don't have, you have to DIY to get these to fit.

These are good brushes. They fit my Dremel better than the original brushes. Unfortunately, I lost the little buggers just after I fit tested them but before I installed them. Buggers.

Worked well for an older Dremel mot-tool.

This item is a perfect replacement for the worn brushed on my drimel tool. The item arrived when promised.

About the only thing that wears out on an electric motor. After all this is where the friction is.
