Love this product. Works very well. As an OTR driver I appreciate a hot meal and don’t really like fast food. I like soups, and this heats a can of soup easily and keeps it very hot the entire time I’m eating it. I haven’t tried anything other than soup yet.I like my hot foods HOT, and this gets very HOT!!! You must be careful with the amount of water -follow the measurement guide or it will spritz out a bit. I put mine on a plastic lunch tray while it’s heating...to catch the spritz and because the unit gets a little hot. Make sure you have your food in the food container because once you add the water to the heat pad, it activates very quickly.The cup works very well too. It stays hot long enough to heat up 2 containers of water. I poured mine into a larger travel mug - instant coffee and powdered creamer. Have only used it once...it’s nice for a quicky coffee without having to run inside. I wouldn’t recommend drinking from the cup unless you take the heat packet out (which would be a little tricky having hot liquid in the cup part), because the heat packets give off an odor (think musty basement).The odor is tolerable when “cooking” and not very noticeable when eating from the large unit, however when I tried to drink from the cup unit, it was very unappealing and smelly. So I poured the coffee in a travel mug. It tastes fine.7/29/19. Update. While this unit works very well, I moved onto a single burner Coleman butane stove; which has a lot more flexibility....and works great for my needs.
