It works ok for a Fresnel magnifier. It is perfect for the bookmark for grandparents. The only reason it is not getting a 5 star rating, it is a little floppy.

Great for people with vision problems
I looked everywhere locally for this magnifier ruler for a friend with macular degeneration. He also has trouble following the text as he moves down reads each line. It is just the right size and magnification! Also the price is excellent, he can now have acouple of them for his library. Easy to use and store. Home run!

Works as expected, good size for versatile use.
Handy and useful, works as it should. It's a good size for a purse, pocket, or toolbox, and especially for paperback books - it doubles as a page-marker. I've replace its short ribbon with a longer one. The ruler is appreciated when used during needlework, or when my regular ruler seems to have run off with the ever elusive 'junk drawer' scissors.

Perfect for reading maps
This handy magnifier is just the right size for enlarging type/figures on maps and books. Thin and flexible enough to double as a bookmark. Just perfect!

Too Limber, Too High A Magnification
I have a little slide out magnifier that a bank was giving away. It's probably a 2X. It's just getting a little cloudy from sliding in and out of a plastic case it came with. I wanted a replacement. The plastic of this item is way too limber. If you're trying to read a 2" sentence of a magazine paragraph, it wants to focus on two words, if that. You can't hold this straight! Even if you bend it in a concave or convex shape you're always left out of focus. I have a hard enough time keeping context understood w/o the hassle of constantly moving the magnifier around. Just keep this in mind for what you want it for.

I hate to say it, but darnit, I'm to that point now, that I NEED something like this in my daily life
And, soo glad I found this product. I can leave one by my cookbooks and keep one in my purse. I plan to get more so I can leave one as a bookmark in whichever book I'm reading and a few other handy places around the home and I think I might get a few more to share with others that I know would benefit.It's flexible, easy to use, compact enough to fit in my purse, etc and works great.
