krupp at war is a (small book it has only 50 pages) schiffer military histoy books (are great but this one has GREAT PICS IN B/W & Colour) A LOT OF GOOD PICS OF KRUPP L2 H 143 OR KFZ 70 TRUCKS l.2 trucks sep 1939 for the 5th company of a motorized infantry.this personnel carrier was destroyed and burned out near amiens in 1940 the crew's fate is unknown.troop parade in Munich on april 2o 1939 sdkfz 81( truck and light anti -aircraft gun) 20mm FLAK FLAK REGIMENT 5 OF THE 1ST Flak unit.a towing truck KFZ 69 from zone III Berlin the Tactical emblem is of Panzerjager 23 infantry div krupp l.2 with 75mm light infantry gun in (Leningrad 1942 good pic.) look on p51 the construction of small series of( three-axle off-road command cars )seemed to be regared by leading vehicle constructors as unavoidadle for reasons of prasones of pestige this is a command car the high engine hood resembles early krupp diesel th=rucks there were also some vehicles with angled hoods. no info on this meeting of german officials in( Russia two Mercedes-benz G 4 command cars.) look on (p33 in 1938 krupp introduced road going ARMORED CAR on the l.2 chassis but was not ADOPTED BY THE WEHRMACHT there is though a( Russian Newsreel )that shows such a vehicle bearing a german CROSS in the yard of the Chancellery Berlin 1945.)l.2 personnel car only made in small numbers at least one vehicle was sill used by the 166th p.d in 1944. on p32 a krupp l.2 with special body for (AIRPORT SEVICE.) on p37( According to a report in die Wehrmacht 1941 )this krupp l.3 truck loaded with FUEL caught fire accidentally in the middle of Russian village the (driver was able to DRIVE THE BURNING TRUCK TO THE EDGE OF TOWN AND TAKE COVER BEFORE ITS (CARGO EXPLODED IN 1941.) on p41 body of an Airport spotlight siemens schuckert truck KRUPP L.3 H 163 the spotlights could be liftd by jacks & the fune looking trailer.the most important krupp TRUCK USED BY ARMY LONG-DISTANCE TRANSPORT UNITS TYPELD 6.5 N 342 l.2 built in 1938 restored by mr Hahn of Essen in 1988.oh & back cover Greece april 1941 a krupp l.3 behind a uniform diese behind it is a light uniform radio truck and a towing truck with heavy field howitzers THIS (PIC IS IN COLOUR. Beware!!!! this is NOT a new publication but simply has a new cover on the old Waffen Arsenal number 107 publication. Exactly the same content, page for page. It has put me off buying any more in this series sight unseen. Waste of my money!
