This seat is perfect. I bought it to replace the Kohler seat that came with our new chair height toilet (that seat was soooooo uncomfortable), and since we had used this brand before, I gave this one a shot. It was super easy to install. More to come on that. One thing to note is that it does not appear to be the mounting system that makes the seat easily removable for cleaning, but to be honest, I never actually used that feature on our old seat because it was easy to clean anyway.On to the installation. It was really easy. Don’t be afraid to manhandle the hinges to get them to lie flat against the porcelain of the toilet. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. You will put the metal bolt in and then a small white plastic nut…then you will INSTALL FROM THE TOP. The hinges were tight and I had to really work them to get them to lie flat, and then the mounting holes on the toilet itself were a tight fit when I pushed the round plastic piece into them, but it was easy enough! I am sure some people think something is wrong because it doesn’t come out of the package ready to lie flush against the toilet and because you have to push the plastic top piece pretty hard into the mounting holes, but IT WASN’T HARD. Once I had it lying flat and lined up the way I wanted to, I finger tightened the bottom nut, then used a socket wrench to tighten it all the way. You don’t need a socket wrench, but it’s easier. When it was tight enough, the little plastic indicator piece on the bottom nut popped off and that was it. THIS THING WILL NOT BUDGE.It looks great. It is a thick seat and the slow-close feature works wonderfully. Best of all, it is COMFORTABLE. The chrome hinges are bigger than I thought they would be, but they look BETTER than what I had gathered from the stock photo. The seat looks expensive and well made. Much nicer than the Kohler lid that came with our toilet.Some tips/info:1) When tightening the bolt down after the first finger tightening, get someone to hold the seat in place while you do it so it doesn’t shift.2) Read the directions and FOLLOW THEM.3) Read the directions.4) Did I mention that you should read and follow the directions? I get irritated when people complain about difficult installation but you can clearly tell they didn’t read. This was easy.5) To that end, I am a 47-year-old women and I like doing these small things around the house. The only thing I asked of my husband on this one was to hold the seat in place while I cranked down the nut because he was the closest available person. If my dog had opposable thumbs, he could have helped me install this seat, it was that easy! :)

Bought this to replace the last one that wore out after quite some years. This is a durable wooden, basic toilet seat with some nice chrome hinges that give it a better look than those cheap plastic ones. I like that it has some heft to it, has soft close hinges so it doesn't bang at 3:00 a.m. and wake everyone up. The smooth durable painted finish has been long lasting. It has not chipped or marked and it is cleaned every week. Just remember that there are 2 sizes for almost all toilets, elongated and standard, make sure you get the right size. Installation was a snap, much easier than previous ones, you just follow their instructions and for me it stays nice and tight, haven't had to re-install or tighten in several years.

I replaced my flimsy plastic toilet seat with this and my toilet looks fancy now! This seat is more comfortable than the old one I had. The slow closing lid is great. Is easy to clean and sturdy. Also was easy to install!

excellent product. I would of included a photo but I think everybody knows what a white toilet looks like and besides others have posted lovely pictures of their toilets for you to enjoy.anyway, a well made product slow close with very nice looking hinges matches my vanity faucet in all 3 of my bathrooms.excellent product well made and very attractive buy it you won't regret it unless they damage it during transport and delivery.Have a great day and may everything go well for you and your family for all who read this review. 😊👍

Looks great. Feels substantial and was very easy to install.The one drawback is that it was purchased for our upstairs condo and while it is a soft close, the lid tend to open very easily causing it to make a loud banging on the back of the toilet. I’m hope we can find a way to stop that without adding unsightly rubber bumpers.

How did I live so long without a slow close toilet seat?? How is it so inexpensive? Four years ago I bought a Kohler toilet seat for same price point. It's already not in good shape- did not age well although there are only two people in the household plus occasional dinner party guests. So I looked for a new one- disappointed in Kohler as I thought it was a good brand. Will see how this one does over time but super solid, heavy and love that the seat cover does not slam! I won't go back and would buy again from this brand.

This seat will never slam, it lowers itself slowly on it's hinge. Very easy to install and looks great. It stays in place, I love this toilet seat, it doesnt move left to right but it stays tight! I finally found one that works for me!! BUY IT!!!

One of the screw caps to affix this to the toilet seat would not go on at all, but I was able to salvage a screw from the seat we removed so not a huge deal. The lid however is missing a screw and a screw hole, which is slightly annoying. No way to contact the seller for a replacement. Otherwise it is sturdy and fits perfectly and looks great.

Looks like all metal hinges, hope they don’t have plastic hidden inside as that’s what always fails first
