Render: A Dystopian Novel (The Resistance Trilogy)

Moe over Hunger Games
Riley's inventiveness creates a total dystopian world that's too real. Add to that young adults with emerging talents that are of the super-human variety who you instantly enjoying getting to know. and then there's the real hero of the story who is a bleeding Taven, if you're ready. Great story-telling. Kept me up nights.

decent
There are still definitely some loose ends that haven’t been addressed, but I’m still reading them so they can’t be that bad :). I just saw how many books this author has written and am genuinely shocked. It reads like someone who self published and didn’t have an editor. Definitely not something I’d recommend to others because I can’t say it’s a good book, but it’s a really good story.

Excellent Series!
At the end of each book it lists the next books in the series which is very helpful especially considering there are now other books by different authors that have copied the covers of these books to try to get you to try their books instead and very much by mistake.I have currently finished book six and the last three remaining books are arriving tomorrow. These truly are “can’t put it down” books to read. So very exciting and very well written!

Slow and Boring
It was slow and boring. There were a lot of words but no real action. Only a few chapters with any importance to the storyline, the rest was just filler. It's hard to swallow a thirteen-year-old in charge of a resistance. There was no one else available? With all the people in the resistance, there wasn't anyone else? Not believing this at all.

Such and easy read!
I'm not going to lie, I was a little slow to catch with the first book, thinking it would be yet another generic repeat dystopian novel. Coming to a close of the second book, I'm so glad I stuck with it. Such a smooth read. The suspense is amazing.

Another good read
So this book takes place about 3-4 months after the end of the first book. They’re on the run and I thought it would be more action packed, but it wasn’t. They were on the run, met new people, suffered lose, left said new people, and then kept running looking for answers that we still don’t fully understand. Like the first book it was slow going and the ending was enough to keep you guessing and wanting more. It’s torture! The plot line is great. But I’m starting to lose interest because of the slow burn of the whole story. Here’s to hoping the third book gets better!4 stars.

engaging and keeps you hooked
I enjoyed the pace and story a bit more in this book vs the first. The story and concepts are still interesting, a couple nice twists and turns. I’m excited to finish the trilogy to see where our heroes end up.
