Awesome device.
Awesome device. The little, and I mean it’s tiny, manual that comes with it is a bit cryptic in its terminology, but that's mostly because there is very little wordage. Just a few words here and there, and it’s easy to get confused as to what they mean. But technologically speaking, this device is awesome.Outside of the cryptic manual, it’s actually easy to setup and use. I just connected it to my PC, browsed to its static IP of 192.168.254.254, and then used the Web GUI to set it up. That consisted of scanning for my WiFi “hotspots” (available SSIDs), selecting the one I wanted it to bridge, then giving it a static IP so I can always find it. Boom! Done! Now just plug it into any RJ45 port, and its on my network. I used this for an outdoor WiFi Security camera that had dropped off the network. WiFi on the camera wasn’t working anymore, but once I plugged this into its RJ45 port the camera was back on the network and working flawlessly. And it’s actually got better throughput than the camera’s original WiFi connection. It also has the option of becoming a hotspot itself. This can be disabled if you like (which I did as I only needed the bridge for the camera) but it does offer the functionality of extending your WiFi network from the point it is deployed. So it’s not only a great bridge for wired devices but also a WiFi extender.Unbeatable product at this price point! And it saved me from having to replace a WiFi camera that had lost its WiFi capabilities. The cameras I use are awesome in every respect except their WiFi circuitry. Crappy circuit that is prone to low bandwidth and utter shutdown. I’ve had three of these cameras develop WiFi problems, but this little jewel saves them!

Perfect inexpensive bridge.
Works just fine as a bridge. You need to make sure to disable hotspot when setting up. The Vonet device will show up in the router, but it appears to have no impact on host function. I tested proxmox with virtual adapters and truenas and they worked just fine. I have only had it running a day, but will update if something weird starts occuring.

It's not a bridge in the true sense
It's not a bridge in the true sense. For a bridge, what I need is to take my wired printer and to present it to the Wifi network as a device. This is important for my applciation because then the other devices on my network could then send things TO the printer to print. This is what a bridge is supposed to be. But when this manual says bridge that's not what it means. What this device does is connect to the Wifi network, and then NAT the devices behind it to a new network. That'd be fine if all I wanted to do was to connect out from the printer to the Internet, but nothing on my local network would see the printer (because it would be behind the NAT).Also when I plugged it in, it could not see the wifi network in my house (from 5 feet away from the router). The device also froze up.The instruction manual has font size smaller than anything you've seen even the bottom line of the eye chart at the ophthalmologist. There are online videos with instructions but who has time for this.Another aspect of this device that is of concern is that I cringe putting it onto my network and connecting it to my computer, since it's clearly a foreign made device. Just seems like a massive IOT cybersecurity risk. This product does not meet my needs. Too late to return to Amazon, sigh, so going into recycling.

You can change the UserID (default is admin) if you like. Recommend using one you will not forget
This handy device will bridge your device to your wireless network, or act as a hotspot from a wired device (e.g. a wired only router). If you only want to bridge, be sure to turn off the wireless advertisement portion before doing anything else. For mine, the MAC address on the label is the wired MAC. I run MAC filtering on my wireless net, so I had to turn off filtering to figure out what the wireless side was. For me, it turned out is was one character down (ex: MAC printed on the device was xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:1D, and the wireless MAC was xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:1C). Once I figured that out, it was a simple setup.Once connected, you can lose the ability to configure the device. Make sure you've got it correct before connecting. It will pull its own IP, but if you have no way of monitoring your DHCP pool, it might take some testing before you find it on the network. You can, however, manage as you see fit.The device will tie itself to one, and only one, wireless access point. If you have multiple WAPs in your network, be sure you tie it to the correct one, otherwise the signal distance will increase, whereas most hand-held wireless devices will hop access points.Be sure and change the default password (admin). You can change the UserID (default is admin) if you like. Recommend using one you will not forget, or you'll have to go through the entire setup process again after you reset it.All in all, not a bad little device for the money.

Works great
A little confusing on the set up but plenty of YouTube videos to get you through it. Used this to put my Cummins home generator on my WiFi. Works like a charm 40 feet away through a brick wall.
