Is a bummer there’s no index to refer to, but I love the book as a reference. I’ve had the pleasure to have met Philip Neimark when he was alive and spend time at their retreat. I’m happy I’ve purchased this book.

Purchasd arrived in great condition and on schedule. Would use this seller again.

If you are initiated as a practitioner of IFA you will need this book. Probably the only draw back is there is not table of contents but if you can understand the ODUs are placed in a way which is sequential with the 16 Mejis then it’s not the difficult.

Their are,quite allot of materials that,can not be gotten in certain areas,material.Other than that,in conversation with those who practice Ifa tradition,it is worth the time to read these works of Odu ,The English translation is the best,opposed to Bascom,with salako interrpetations,some methods of usage of certain item is very good account according to some ,in conversation does it work I am not the one to ask...as some would say it is very clever ,and clean way of using spiritual application,It concepts of benevolent & malevolent ,and how to stay clear of such aggressive forces and how to maintain good graces is wonderfuly written.

Excellent book, it covers very important topics in Yoruba religion. Co-written by a Nigerian babalawo, it gives a serious insight to the ancient Yoruba traditions and cosmovision

two years ago I bought this book, and at first I didn't know what to do with it. I just put it away, because I didn't understand what it was all about.Since a while I am learning the Divination with the Opele and now the book enfold his secrets to me. I was amazed, but I must say I am glad I bought it.

Edit: while this book is still fantastic, it is missing pages 113-116 which includes 2 of the odu! Not sure if just this seller or not but was disappointed to find this out today! Also after looking at the copy that my friend has, this copy feels like more of a bootlegg pirated copy of the book than a quality book that should cost $70, it should be $15. I will be returning it. It also came with all the edges damaged but I was willing to overlook that had it been a quality book. Some pages are also poorly printed that may not be noticed skimming through, but once you find the pages you ask yourself, "why is this so foggy and difficult to read".The book itself is great, but was delivered in packaging that damaged the edges of the book. Aesthetics are only so important, more of a personal annoyance. Either way, and whatever quality the outside, this book is great if youre looking for a complete collection of the 256 Odu. Highly recommend.
