Great for YouTube review videos - As good as the Yeti branded ones too!
Nowadays with everybody working from home, it's hard to get a quiet room to do my video and sound recordings in same time.Well, not any more, since I found this awesome little microphone on Amazon, which allows me to record (or re-record) any audio track separately when working on one of my YouTube videos. Not only this microphone comes with a reasonable price point compared to the more expensive models, but it has a great sound quality too. Honestly, I used to own the well known but expansive "Yeti" mike before. But after testing the Meteor one, I don't see a difference at all versus the sound from the more expensive mike.Only downside is that the Meteor do not have any knobs to change the recording modes, nor to modify the recording levels like the Yeti has. But I can easily deal with all that in Windows and on my main recording program, so not a big deal. The Titanium black color was great as well, to match with my Titanium gaming keyboard. The downside is that this color being hard to find, now lot of seller are raising their prices on this particular model. You can find this microphone in other color format for much cheaper though. So in short...GOOD:- Amazing sound quality with good low/bass (when closer to the mike)- Better priced than the other expensive brands- "Plug & play" without any specific program required to run properly (although it comes with a card that allows to download the Samson "Sound Deck" program for free)- Nice Titanium black design/color- 80 inches long mini-USB to USB 2.0 cable included- 3.5mm Jack port on the back for headphone monitoring- Has a mike mute and volume control (for the headset) button on frontNOT SO GOOD:- Uses the outdated mini-USB as connector- Pop-filter to buy separately- Mute button gets stuck from time to time

Great sound quality! Tiny profile, but Big on the inside.
I purchased this mic to use primarily in a home office while on WebEx/Zoom calls. Previously I was using a MS Lifechat LX3000 headset, and the mic quality was excellent. However as a senior member of a very technical team, I felt like a teenaged gamer wearing a headset on camera while my peers all used their integrated mics. Everyone agreed that I sounded much better than them, however I felt slightly less professional. Now with the Samson Meteor, it sits out of camera on my desk, facing me, and I don't have to wear an unprofessional headset anymore. My team says I sound even better than before, and because the cardioid pickup pattern really only captures the audio in front of the microphone, my household family noises aren't heard as much as before. The only drawback and it is a so tiny I almost don't want to mention it, the location of the mute button. All of the applications I use to hold remote meetings have their own mute function, but I don't like to use them, as I am sometimes looking at another window or typing on a CLI elsewhere, and don't want to have to "click" back into the meeting app and un-mute myself to make a comment. The MS Lifechat had an inline mute button and when I muted myself nobody on the call could tell, it didn't make a noise. The Meteor makes a tiny noise when you mute it, mostly because the mute button is located right below the mic pickup. A co-worker said they could hear it, but only when I specifically asked them to listen for it, as a test. Since then nobody has ever commented on the sound, and it's such a small thing to even bring up.All in all I am very happy with this microphone and would recommend it to anyone. My son uses a Blue Yeti and this honestly sounds way better, and it's half the size.

Awesome Noise Cancel, Easy Set Up
I bought this mic by a recommendation from a co-worker. I needed something I could use on conference call that did a better job of picking up my voice while canceling out background noises. This thing did the job and then some! Since I have used it to record voice messages for our company. The sound is super clear and it is rare that it picks up a distracting noise from the background. Installation is pretty plug and play, the whole set up took about 10 minutes. The mic has some weight to it, i was pretty surprised. The tri pod does good job of making a stable base. I wish it was bluetooth, but for the price I understand. Overall I am extremely pleased with this mic and highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade the sound quality of their recordings at home or in the office.
