Q: Is this comparable to Barista Italian Roast

I have never had Barista Italian Roast coffee, however if you like and enjoy Dark Roast coffee, then you will enjoy Gevalia Dark Royal Roast. Gevalia has many fine coffees and I enjoy the dark roasted coffees best including the Decaf. For variety, I periodically switch to Peet’s Coffees, dark roast of course. They too have many fine and enjoyable dark roast coffees. Again, if you like good tasting coffees whether dark roast or other, then you can’t go wrong with either Gevalia or Peet’s.

Q: I purchased these from you and wondering why they were not in a Gevalia box but in just a brown box and also there is no expiration date anywhere

Did you by chance accidentally click the this is a gift box by mistake? I have them shipped this way from time to time and they come in a plain Amazon box

It is about one year from the date of purchase. If you look at the bottom of the box (underneath), you will find an expiration date printed in white on a black background.

This so far is my favorite coffee because it doesn't leave a residue in the bottom of your cup. I hate it when I accidentally drink it with my other brands.

Very good, almost as good as Gevalia ground coffee from a drip coffee maker

We drink Gevalia ground coffee (drip coffee maker) every day. Decided to try some of their pods to see if it was close to the coffee made in the drip coffee maker. Almost as good, but much better than any other brand pods we have tried. So on days we need a quick cup of coffee we now use Gevalia pods.
