Q: Can u use this with a epdm rubber roof ???

Aged EPDM. My RV is 22 years old and it was truly amazing the outcome. From a pure black EPDM roof my nephew painted the sides of trailer first and then around each vent hole and accessories. It doesn't need a primer, goes on blue and dries to a bright white. 15-20 degrees cooler inside my RV even with 106 degree temps.

Q: Can someone confirm that the product works well without using the (optional?) fiberglass?

I used it on rolled roofing It did require 2 coats.

Q: Does this have to be primed with a clean metal roof?

I didn't have any luck with this stuff and won't use it again. If you have a clean metal roof, I would use an oil base paint or silver roof coating. If the roof is galvanized metal and it is in good condition, you will need to treat it before coating it with anything. If you have a galvanized roof that is old and dull or lightly rusted you would not need to treat it first. If it is heavily rusted, use a stiff push broom and dry scrub it. Then use a leaf blower to blow off the dust, before coating.
