Very useful plug ins!
I ordered these plug in pest repellers after being around a friend's and seeing hers plugged in. I wondered what it was as there was a nice blue light fading in and out of it. She said they were great as they helped keep all sorts of bugs, insects etc ..... at bay. I thought I'd try them out as I'd gotten ants in the lounge again. Also get fed up of the flies and the blue bottles that come in when I have the door open to the garden. They come two in a pack. They're like a nice shaped plug with a blue light when plugged in. The light pulsates as it gives out the waves to the unwanted pests! Apparently the ultrasonic waves attack their central nervous system making it uncomfortable for them so they want to leave. I've had one plugged in kitchen and one in lounged or just over a week now. I've definitely seen results with the ants. I didn't think it would work as after 3 days I still kept seeing some ants, but each day they've got less and less. After 9 days I've not seen one! Plus hardly any flies. In the kitchen, even with the door open, we've hardly any blue bottles or flies come in. If they do come in, they don't seem to want to stay for long. They fly straight back out! Also, coming to think of it, I've hardly seen the cats or my dog scratch like they usually do, so maybe they've helped with the fleas too! There's a lifetime replacement guarantee with these too so that's very good. There was also a free gift of insect repellant bracelets. Great for when we go camping or anywhere outdoors. The plugs can be plugged in anywhere so very handy. Thanks to my friend I got these. Didn't break the bank either and saved on not having to buy horrible sprays etc to get rid of what I don't want in the house!

Doesn't work
Bought these as wanted to humanely rid mice that have found their way into my newly built garage. Garage measures approximately 6x6m so I placed all four at various heights around the garage. They make an audible noise that is effective at making me and my children feel like we don't want to spend any more time than necessary in there. Been installed for over a month, unfortunately they don't appear to discourage mice. Still signs of mouse activity, chewed rags and lots of droppings, so I put a trap in the garage yesterday evening, caught my first mouse. Shame, will reset trap tonight.

Thoughts after installation
The 4 devices arrived yesterday, so still too early to determine if they deter the mice. However, one immediate thought. I may not be alone in thinking these devices had three settings for audio levels and you could choose the level you wanted.. However, the unit is simply a plug in unit with an on switch. You can't select which level you require, the unit cycles through each (indicated by a green, blue or red LED in the front). I have had one unit plugged in near where I have sat and when on the middle and highest (blue and red) setting I could hear a very faint "tinkling" from the unit. Very quiet but still audible. I have just swapped the unit for another and the blue and red level "tinkling" is a little quieter, so have a play with the units you get if you will have a unit within earshot. In the meantime, I'll wait to see if the units deter the field mice visitors I have been getting.Post-installation feedbackI have just seen a huge spider run across the floor (in May!) so it doesn't work for spiders. I have also seen some planted food has gone so the field mice haven't been deterred either. So effectiveness not looking good so far.

Small and compact easy to install.
Only time will tell if these items do what they state. as stated they are not audible to the human ear only to vermin or insects, spiders ext. so if nothing appears in the future then they work.In a dark room at night they are like a night light. In a bedroom at night you do get a reflection on the ceiling.I have found that these plugs do not work when you plug them into a extension lead, they work perfect in the wall plug.

Im not sure how this is working... but It's definetly doing something !! lol
The media could not be loaded. Packaging is pretty bog standard - which is okay because it's not exactly a product you would gift to someone (hopefully).Inside the box you get a pack of 4 devices. They each plug straight into a wall plug socket like a normal airfreshner would do.The sound emitted by the device is very quiet and high pitched - you can just about here it if you concentrate. I'm not sure how the sound is supposed to ward of insects but I guess we'll see LOL.There seems to be an on and off button by the device which turns on the LED lights. There also seems to be a light on top of the device which I would have thought would attract even more flies - but I'm not a scientist LOL.We'll have to see how it goes. There's a fly that was already at the top corner of my kitchen wall... he doesnt really seem to bothered by the noise. I guess I'll check if he's there in an hour?

Surprisingly... they really worked for me!
I live in a Victorian house and suddenly had quite bad mouse problem. I was using mouse traps and some days I was killing 4 in a day. I would see mice in the house in the daytime ... so god knows what it was like at night.I bought one set of 4 of these and then another set of 4 a couple days later. In the first week the mice were still around and visible in the day time. I was a bit concerned. The thing was though - the mice were acting crazy in the rooms where these things were.Anyway, after about a week or so I stopped seeing them and I stopped hearing them in the walls. I haven’t seen droppings either. So, I’m really pleased with these. I think the key is to have at least 2 or 3 in the rooms affected (they seem to cycle through the sounds that irritate the mice and maybe when the cycles are not in synch it drives them nuts).I have a dog and she’s not bothered by the sound. So, I’m really happy with these.
