De-Stemmed Aji Amarillo Chiles, 1 Pound Box

I really enjoyed buying this chili in bulk for it's color and flavor. I de-seed and grind it in my spice grinder for adding to bolivian dishes and certain soups. I store the rest in the freezer for later use. Will definitely be buying again.

I've had mixed reactions to some of the Angelina's Gourmet products I've purchased. However, these dried chiles are superb. They came unlabelled in a sealed thick clear plastic bag. They were fresh and pliable and perfectly dried with an outstanding flavor. I'll definitely be buying more of Angelina's dried chiles. With this quality and very low price, it easily gets my 5 star rating.

The aji amarillo chilies came freshly dried and pliable. I don't understand the dissatisfaction in the other reviews. Mine looked just like the picture, and the flavor is obviously going to be different with dried chilies as opposed to paste. I use it as I would dried apricots, for concentraded yellow chili flavor.

I thought I was buying Peruvian Ají Mirasol, which is Ají Amarillo Destemmed. This Ají Amarillo came in the color crimson to black. When I boiled it and made a sauce out of it, it got a really sweet flavor. I'd not recommend this product to anyone because is not what they advertise and it doesn't look like the picture at all.

i ordered this product along with a pound of chipotle peppers.they arrived soon enough, well packed, in unmarked bags.i had to guess which was which.the aji amarillos that i know are bright yellow or orangeand very hot and spicy, with a fruity, fragrant flavor.these arrived dark brown and dusty looking.they are not at all spicybut they do have a nice bitterish flavor.they are closer to paprika than hot peppers.you will like them if you don't need the heat.i roasted about a quarter pound in the ovenand powdered them in my coffee grinder.i've been sprinkling it over my rice, pasta, salad and vegetable dishes.i'm enjoying what i havebut i will not order it again.peace to everybody.

It was as advertised and arrived within the advertised time frame. It added to the Peruvian diner that we were preparing.

Super pepper. Has some heat but mostly it's got real flavor character
