Please wait until you have the money to buy a quality chain! I know it's cheap, but there's a reason for that...It's not worth the $30 I paid for it, and it probably won't be worth whatever you pay for it, so skip it!! I told myself I would be careful, it would last. I said, no matter how thin and fragile it is, I can keep it for a long time by taking care of it. If I can't--you can't.Honolulu chains are nicer, you can get a 1mm / 20" long for $85 and it will last. Kool Jewellery is a trash peddler. This is the second item of theirs that broke, my mother in law bought the other, (a 14kt gold bracelet, (supposedly 1.4mm, but it was 0.9) that cost her $50. It broke into 3 pieces the second week, 5th time I wore it. The chain was already delivered, bought to match the bracelet. I wore it once, hung it up, it fell, and knotted up so badly that it is now a permanent, stupid, dumb knot of crap gold. It's exceedingly thin, way too thin to be called dainty -- it's more like whispery. Whispery is not a good style for a chain.My Mother ordered a substantially thicker, more expensive 14kt gold bracelet from the same company, Kool Jewellery. She was so happy and wore it only when she went somewhere. She always wanted a thick, solid gold bracelet but sadly, it was also complete garbage. After breaking IN THE MIDDLE, (of course) after 5 weeks, the $235 bracelet was returned. She adored it, and found no other to compare. Therefore, she opted for its replacement, in lieu of a refund. She received a $91 bracelet of instead the one $235 one she bought/returned. She had to complain about it for a month of Sundays before she finally got what she paid for. It lasted 4 weeks, breaking in the same, weak middle.It sits in her tabletop jewelry box, broken--and she's not here now to have it fixed.

I bought a white gold and 2 yellow gold chains for my 2 daughters and myself. One of my daughter’s chains kept breaking but I think she was a bit rough. I’ve kept mine on for about 3 years and haven’t had a problem. Great necklaces. Alone or layered with others.

This is a nice chain for the price, but I was a little disappointed in how thin it is, but know the Singapore is a great chain. Ordered this for my granddaughter's birthday, and she was pleased with it.

My biggest pet peeve with necklaces is having them get caught in my hair. I have very long hair that I rarely ever wear up. I have never had any issues with this necklace getting caught on anything, even my hair. Will be ordering this in white gold as well!

This chain is more thin than i thought..way to thin..it can break easy, you can't even see it on the person wearing it..U have to look close to see it...disapointed :(
