I bought this printer with high hopes, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. While it looks compact and stylish, the performance is extremely poor. One cartridge gives a maximum of just 50 prints, and a replacement costs ₹700–₹800, which is very expensive and not worth it.Even after buying new cartridges, the printer often fails to work properly especially when printing via USB from a laptop. It takes an unreasonably long time to respond, wasting both time and effort.I also tried using high-quality refill ink to reduce the cost per page, and it worked only once. After that, the printer stopped recognizing the cartridges and kept asking for original ones. I ended up wasting money on both the printer and the inks.Also, if a new cartridge is not used for about a month, it dries up completely. Overall, one of my worst purchases definitely not recommended.

Reviewing after using for 10days.1) Box & the printer condition was good from both inside & outside but the only thing i didn't like was the age of the product. Was manufactured in July 2023 and i ordered in March 2025. Almost 1yr 7months old, not so freshly baked.Bundled Warranty for the product. After buying in March, online product warranty shows expiry on May. ????2) USB data cable is so small. Leveling doesn't seem proper, was shaking even on flat floor.3) Initial supplied ink in the new cartridges was less, both black n color. Finished with 11 black and 7 color prints. Cost per page is too high.4) Print quality, color n black 3.5/5.Clarity (default settings) of the printed text document was not sharp, ink seemed to spread a little bit. Color copy was also nice & missed few spots at start while printing. Need to configure settings manually for sharp prints. Speed 2/55) Scan quality, 4/5.Default settings are not good, but if you configure scan settings by yourself the scan quality is good. Speed 4/56) Copy quality, 3/5.Lines came out faded in some parts. Color copy is also not sharp as required. No manual settings for copy to print sharp. Speed 4.5/57) Over all a good to keep it handy at home. Does the work in emergency. Good for daily use.

A little about this printer:1) Build quality: 3/5 - flimsy and prone to paper jams if paper is not inserted carefully.2) Scan quality: 4/5 - really impressed with this one.3) Print quality: 3/5 - OK for casual use. Not great, not bad either.4) Software and drivers: 3/5 - installs a lot of unnecessary plugins, which cannot be unselected during installation. You have to manually remove each one after installation (e.g FTP plugin, Dropbox plugin, etc.)5) Cartridges: 1/5 - no surprises here... 6 prints in, and the provided cartridges' ink levels have already dropped to 75%.6) Additional points - unlike Canon, HP has its own Android app to print from a mobile phone via USB OTG cable, so that's a plus.Since I only use a printer/scanner for emergencies (2-3 prints a month), I always go for the cheapest option, which in this case was this one for Rs. 3099/-. The only difference between HP DeskJet 2331 and 2332 is the colour (the former is violet-white and this one is grey-white) so grab whichever is cheaper. Inkjet printers are a scam in general - the printers are cheap but the cartridges are crazy expensive and the ink runs out before you can say the word 'PRINT'. If you're the type who prints a lot, better go for a laser printer. They are more cost efficient in the long run.

It is a very bad product. I highly recommend you to not to buy this product. I bought this printer firstly after taking nearly 50 to 60 pages it ink cartridge get empty if I buy new cartridge it will cost nearly 800 rs and give only 100 page means 8 rs per page . If I take print from market I can easily get 10rs per page print with a better quality. It is totally waste of money. I recommend you to buy a good printer by adding 3 to 4 thousand more rs in this printer's price and buy a good printer at 7 to 8 thousand. You will be benefitted more in future.
