2000 Jeep tj Rubicon
This is the best mod I ever had done in my 2000 Jeep tj, it made driving so much more fun…I wish should have done sooner but better late than never lol. Cheers to all my jeeps buddies out there 😊

This was one of the best mods I've done to my '01 TJ Wrangler
I will start off by saying I read a lot of things on a bunch of different JEEP forums that had a lot of mixed reviews about this shifter. i.e. They didn't notice as difference in the shifts, The shifts were too stiff, it wasnt worth the money, etc. etc. etc. Well those pansies need to have their JEEPS taken from them & go drive a Toyota Corola.With that said.....This was one of the best mods I've done to my '01 TJ Wrangler, & I've done a lot of mods over stock. This shifter definitely exceeded my expectations. It takes a bit to get used to but once you do... you will LOVE it. If you don't love it... you shouldn't be driving a manual transmission. This is a shifter for real driving enthusiasts, people that really enjoy & know how to drive a manual transmission vehicle. The shifts are definitive, crisp, & A LOT shorter than I expected for a Jeep shifter. I was able to regain control of my front cup holder "for more than just a can of soda" as the shift pattern is kept considerably centered & I'm no longer banging my knuckles on the A/C controls either. I love it! If you don't like your sloppy stock shifter, spend the money & go get one of these. Thanks to B&M for putting out a quality product!

Great improvement over stock shifter.
Fitment: Fits great. Shift pattern is tight and doesn’t feel like I’m driving a semi anymore. HOWEVER the stock bolts are almost too small to fit through this. Really should include some about a half inch longer.Quality: It’s B&M, so it’s a 10/10. I’ve used their products in other Jeep’s as well a Chevelle. Made out of quality material and have yet to have anything fail yet.IN ADDITION: This COMES WITH a black B&M knob that isn’t listed on the “included parts” list! I had no idea until I pulled the shift boot/ dust cover out. No need to buy another shifter!

A bit difficult to get used to
This single-handedly changed the attitude of the transmission. Shifts are crisp and responsive, throw is drastically reduced. I have but one complaint and I have to admit I haven’t spoken with B&M about it yet: third and fourth gears are hard to find. I have hit the wrong gear a LOT. When the lever is in the middle of its travel, between gears, it does not return to center between 3rd and 4th as the stock shifter did. Instead, it springs back all the way left between 1st and second gears. This is a problem. It should return to center between 3rd and 4th making it easier to find them while driving, since there is no gate on those two. For the rest of the gears, you push left or right into the gate, then a simple push or pull for the desired gear. I will be calling them to make sure it isn’t something I did during installation. Either way, it’s not something I’d return the shifter for. I do worry than my wife would not be able to drive it though.

Should have done this sooner!
Wow, added this due to adding a 1.25" body lift and wasn't happy with the shift height and travel. This is amazing. The feel is so solid and the short travel will be awesome on the trail. No need to wait for a reason, add this for an amazing upgrade to your shifter.

This is my second shifter , there's no other option
The first one broke down after 3 years this is my second one it didn't come with hardware or gasket and no stopper nut for the knob

Great shifter but needs a small shift knob to keep your hand from hitting the dash. Read my discription please.
Great shifter just as all B&M shifters are but would it have killed you to put a little more bend in it so I'm not smacking my hand on the dash every 1,3,5 shift? Also for the money they should have added a shift cup so you don't have to pry your old one off and use it and a small tube of silicone to seal it. You know those unused for a month dry up. Sucks having to go to the parts store to buy more stuff that could have easily been added in the box. Yes I'm bitching about it because I expect more from B&M (B$M).. As for what you get in the box, it's amazing. The shift is super short and solid. Just like I've come to expect from B&M. I use their shifters in every standard vehicle I buy. With all the special packages these days for jeeps you would think they would contact jeep and have them added to the sport or rubicon package. Nothing fun about driving a nice jeep that pops out of gear because the stock shifter is so sloppy.. It really is what you would expect from a B$M shifter and I love it but I don't like hitting my hand while shifting. Going to take some getting used to.. Even with the issues its well worth the money. If you are a jeep owner and looking for a shifter then stop wondering and buy one. Once you use a B$M shifter for a few days you will want to stick one in every car you have.. Yes they are that good. So click "buy it now" and you will thank me later. Happy safe wheeling people.
