The Cat Who Said Cheese (Cat Who... Book 18)

Wonderful escape literature.
A friend gave me a "Cat Who" series of four books (just part of the series) before I had major surgery with some pajamas. After reading the four books, I bought every book Lilian Jackson Braun wrote, and I have read them over and over ever since. If you are a person who enjoys literary and light murder mysteries in a rural setting with interesting characters in a vibrant community of recurring characters, you'll enjoy the adventures of Jim Qwilleran and his clever and cute Siamese, Koko and Yum-Yum.

Cats who have a palate for mystery!
Absolutely love these books! As a child my family adopted a Siamese and I swore Shim understood everything he was told. These books are not such a stretch after all. Have greatly enjoyed binging on this author and one other for the past several months. It's good to find a prolific story teller. Highly recommended.😀

You Gotta Love Those Cats
I have almost all the books in this series, and I have enjoyed reading them all. I guess you would have to say there is some violence since someone always gets killed. This is a mystery novel. But the emphasis is on Mr. Q, his cats, and solving the mystery. I'm sure the writing is not A+ material, but it makes for an enjoyable read for me, at least.

The Cat Who books
Came as advertised and I have ordered 28 of the "Cat Who..." books, already had the first one. I love these books, they are like pop corn you can't stop reading them. Now my husband is reading them.

Not enough stars in the rating system for this masterpiece
This is one of my faves when it comes to the Cat Who series. The clues (cheese names....I won't spoil it for you!) and interesting characters like Mr. Limburger who is as odious in personality as his name suggests, gentle Aubrey the bee keeper with a heart bigger than his brain, Onoosh, the mysterious woman. I won't go on, I might spoil things.Other clues (what Qwill finds in his ready-to-cook turkey)and other goings on, and the "coverage" of the Pickax Hotel bombing....nicely narrated. Though through Koko's catly fits (which is caught on tape at the cheese tasting at Qwill's apple barn and distributed by others for the laughs) we start to piece together who, and then later why. It's a thoroughly enjoyable book.As a long time fan of Braun I say this is one of her best. But start at the beginning...to see Qwill and Koko's genesis and struggles. What they had to do to get where they are now.

The Cat Who Said Cheese...
This is #18 in Lillian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who..." series. This one has several things going on at once. Everyone in Moose County is getting the town ready for the Great Food Explo, a mystery woman arrives in town and a bomb explodes in her room, and a hive of bees kills someone. Koko, Yum Yum, and Jim Qwilleran are out to solve all these mysteries. I've read all "The Cat Who..." books and it really helps if you start with #1 "The Cat Who Read Backwards" and read them in order. It's not necessary to follow the stories, but your more drawn in and know the characters. They're easy to read and worth your time.

LOVE ALL OF THE CAT WHO BOOKS
LOVE ALL OF THE CAT WHO BOOKS.. THEY ARE A VERY GOOD READ... WISH I HAD GOTTEN THEM IN ORDER.. BUT NEVER PAID ATTENTION TO IT.. BUT NO MATTER WHICH ONE YOU START WITH YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON .. THE CHARACTERS ARE GREAT.. LOVE QWILL, AND THE CATS... THEY ARE VERY WELL WRITTEN "COZY" MYSTERIES... EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FOND OF CATS, YOU WILL LOVE ALL OF THESE BOOKS...

The "crafting" of a fascinating novel.
I've been a Follower of this series for years. It never ceases to amaze me how this author crafts and weaves her story line and creates the "perfect" title for her novels.

An Entertaining read!
This is the first book I have read by this author. As I have Siamese cats, the author was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed! The names of the places and the characters gave me a chuckle and the observations regarding the cats was spot on. It is an easy read and very entertaining. I look forward to more of her books being available in the Kindle format.

The cat who
I enjoyed the book and also these CDs. It's unabridged and really enjoyable. Instead of concentrating on blood and violence like too many modern murders these books concentrate on the brainwork and on a picture of small town America which is very accurate.

My third cat who story
My third cat who story is definitely the best I have read so far. The cat becomes a super hero vividly depicted. If you enjoy a good who dunnit and are fascinated by Siamese cats this book is for you.

I love these stories, they are good light hearted reads in between a murder book. Let yourself be taken to a different place and enjoy.

Good mystery series
Love the eccentricities of Qwill, his friends and neighbours and cats, and the inevitable murder (or two) keep one guessing - the picture of small town rural USA in the late mid C20th is enjoyable

This has to be the best.
As the series progresses one wonders if the puzzles can get better or has the best been reached. Well, this is the best - so far!
