Love this Acer!
This Acer Aspire, how I love, let me count the ways... My last few purchases had been Dell's and this time I decided to try someone different. So, after researching for weeks, hem-hawing on what laptop to purchase, and stalking the Microsoft Store, I decided to go with this Acer Aspire V15 V3-575T-7008 here on Amazon. SIGNATURE edition. Before this round of computer shopping, I had never before heard of Signature editions, but was glad I did. No pre-loaded, 3rd party trial packages of anything. Just a clean PC, exactly how I wanted. (Though in full disclosure, MS Office does pop up asking me to purchase, but that is so minor compared to what I have had before.)The Acer Aspire has an Intel Core I7 processor, 8 GB of ram, and 1 TB of hard drive memory, which was exactly what I was looking for. Fast and with a lot of memory without going over $1,000. The wireless internet runs pretty quick and it gives pretty good sound, though be aware the speakers are on the bottom. The screen resolution is great.Things I'm surprised I love: The touch screen. I did not pick this laptop for the touchscreen, but I am surprised how much I use and like it. Scrolling through webpages, word documents, pdf's, etc. Also, the back lit keyboard. I'm sure these are standard now days, but it's a cool feature to have as the evening comes. The keyboard. This is personal preference, as not all hands are the same, but I adjusted to this one really quickly. I was expecting the keys to be smushed together because it has a keypad, also, but am not having any issues. The only problem I have run into is the graphics driver "blinking" on me. It has happened a few times, but it always recovers in a second. I expect this problem to go away with the next driver update. Really, I have no complaints with laptops so far. I'm using it for some advanced school I am taking (using MS Office Suite), casual gaming and internet use, email, and movie watching. It has been great! The only other word of caution I offer is that I have only been using this computer for a few weeks. I have used it every day and love it, but I have not pushed it to it's limits, so to speak. It is, by far, the most I have ever spent on a computer and but decided to view it as an investment in a device that I will use nearly every day for the next few years. And I have not regretted it!Update as of 8/14/2016:Still love this laptop. I resolved the monitor issue by getting an updated driver from the Acer website. Also, its been so long since I had any MSOffice ad pop-up, I don't remember what it looked like. I've seen some of the negative reviews and don't really understand the problems except for maybe a bad unit. I'd buy it again today.

Recommend this laptop
Acer Aspire V 15 V3-575T-7008 15.6" Full HD IPS Touchscreen Notebook Computer, Intel Core i7-6500U 2.5GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 HomeI absolutely love Acer laptops! I had my previous Acer laptop for about 7 years and it is still going. I just wanted an upgrade and something new :) The best feature about this laptop is the back-lit keyboard. I can't believe I ever lived without one! I was worried about downsizing my screen size from a 17" to 15.6", but there isn't much of a difference. I'll take the smaller size to get a touch screen. The other feature I like about this laptop is that it came with windows 10 already installed. It isn't hard to upgrade to windows 10 but it takes up precious time. I also like the Acer Care Center on this one. It shows your hardware configuration, it performs a checkup on your hard drive, battery, and internet connection. There are tuneup features right within the Care Center (such as delete junk files, disk cleaner, defrag, and start up applications. It also does a check for updates of your drivers. So far I am impressed with this laptop! The only thing I need to get use to is the mouse. It is a bit different than my other Acer, but I like it because it won't automatically start scrolling because my finger happen to touch the scrolling part on the mouse pad, lol. I would recommend this laptop!

Skip It! My Mistake.
Initially okay, but then the hard drive whet and the touch screen just can't seemed to be repaired correctly (sent back 3 times to Square Trade). I did purchased the Square Trade policy and now the laptop has been broken longer than I have owned it.Problems started just past the warranty date, of course. I would advise all to never buy from a private owner. Guess that should have popped in my brain, but the reviews for this model were so fantastic, but I never took the time to ask "why would a private seller be selling this machine?" Was it used? Too late for me, but maybe not for you.Amazon gave me a $40 credit, but I'm out $500+ for the laptop and $100+ for the useless SquareTrade repair policy. For these big ticket items go the Big C that doubles your warranty. Lesson learned for me. Off to buy a new laptop....as my College Freshman has been 9 months without a reliable computer and I'm $600 in the hole...but hey...I got a $40 credit.

Less than 3 years old & the screen is beginning to blank & display only video noise.
This is the first Acer I have owned and will probably be the last. This laptop is only occasionally used, never dropped & was working OK until the last few months. When moving the Lid/Display, sometimes the display would show blank or just show a bunch of squiggly noise. I search the web for this issue & found a number of videos showing 15.6" Acer Laptops with this issue.I called Acer directly & was surprised that I couldn't talk to them & was funneled to a 3rd party group because it was out of warranty. Very disappointing not to be able to talk to Acer & find out if it has a known issue that they could help me with. The 3rd party group said they couldn't help me. I have much older non-Acer laptops that may be slower but still completely work with no issues. Stay away from Acer.

Good and cheap but has some issues
This laptop is a good value for $560. The I7 processor is snappy and the screen is very nice with wide viewing angles. The do down sides of this laptop are pretty annoying. First the hard drive is slow. This computer was slower than my 4 year old i5 untill i switched out the hard drive for an SSD. The second problem is the keyboard is very cheap feeling. It even makes a rattling noise when typing. Last the touch pad is not always responsive.
