The clasps are small and flimsy and are not strong enough to even grasp let alone hold prescription thigh-high compression socks, even on the sock part (and impossible on the silicon-studded top). On a positive note, the belt was more comfortable than the simple straight belt type. I ended up cutting off the straps and clasps (which were worthless) and buying two-way garment clasps (a short piece of elastic with a metal clasp at either end) at a fabric store and using these with the belt.

Ihave not worn a regular garter belt since grade school, but was quite surprised to see that this worked to hold up my custom made Ted hose. It also fit! I am a very large sized woman and this fit me great. Rather than have this garter belt ending up around my neck, it fit my big asset well which was a big selling point for me. It feels true to size, washes well (keep out of dryer or it will only fit Barbie). Great product keeps my stockings up without dragging the undies down! I highly recommend if you can't keep your Ted hose up!

Husband no longer has to pull up compression hose - he normally wears about a belt size 35-36" so I ordered Medium but it is too tight as it sits differently than his belt so he can't wear it if he feels bloated so I recommend ordering up a size - hand wash also so it doesn't shrink

I purchased this item in the hope that I could use it to keep my heavy compression hose from sagging. Because this garment is manufactured by Jobst, a leader in the compression hose market, I thought it would be useful for me. However, the stocking I wear is made of heavy knit, and it was impossible to hook the garter to the stocking. Works well probably with the lighter compression stockings. Also, it doesn't really work too well for me as I wear a compression stocking on only one leg, so the other garters on the right just hung loose, leaving unsightly bumps in my trouser leg -- I did try to wear the garment once.

It's a lilttle smaller in the waist, which would have been fine but the straps are way too short for any of the stockings I have. Also the photo on here isn't the item I received. Though if you go through the return page it does show the correct product. Confusing.
