Andy Andy Andy - In the movie The Doors by Oliver Stone, Stoned i should say... Jim Morrison is invited to Andy's party, he laconically shows him a Golden Telephone. Unconnected. Just there in the middle of a cocktail party. It is to speak to God with. He hands it to Jim Morrison. We never see him use it. This book is Andy not talking to God, but he is making man speak to God. Immortality is Portraiture. Each Polaroid, the biggest version of Polaroid or the regular one... doesnt matter, each one is not less than a Renaissance painting but NOT a Renaissance painting. The images are stately, insular, monumental, casual, sexy, stupid, exalted, dumb, sardonic, deadpan, angry, vulgur, beautiful, commercial, spiritual , mortal and immortal at the same time. No Im sure he did know he was doing good work. Like in Silence of the Lambs, the crew while shooting the film suddenly started to realize they are part of something magical and something momentous. So this is a slice of history, of men women objects nothing talking to God through the lens. The Polaroid was the Telephone to God. Let us all pray at the greatest Factory of Art and the map who made the mundane sublime. RIP Andy. Enjoy the book, it is a statement for the ages.

Good one.
This book is full of Polaroids clicked by the photographer itself. A great addition to the book list if someone is a fan of Andy Warhol's work.
