My first impression upon receiving this bonsai tool set was a bit mixed due to the lack of proper packaging. The product arrived solely in its own case, placed directly inside the Amazon box. There was no additional protective wrapping. As soon as I opened it, I noticed that some of the scissors were misplaced and had slipped out of their plastic protection, which made me wonder if the product had been opened previously. Additionally, the metal pieces had a distinct, weird smell, which wasn't ideal.Despite the initial packaging concerns, the tools themselves are quite simple and functional. The handles do look a bit cheap, but they certainly serve their purpose without issue. I used the scissors for a quick trimming session on my bonsai tree, and they worked surprisingly well. Everything felt sharp and provided clean, precise cuts, which is crucial for bonsai health. The included wires are also of good quality. My only minor suggestion would be for a thicker wire option to be included, especially for those working with larger bonsai trees that require more robust shaping.Considering the price paid, I believe this set offers good value for money, especially if purchased for under £30. If the price were to go above that, you might find similar quality or even slightly better options at a dedicated gardening store. However, at this price point, it's a solid investment.I recommend this product, but it's important to understand that this is not a premium set. It's a straightforward, functional kit. If you're just starting your journey into bonsai care, this set is likely the best you can get for the price. It provides all the essential tools you need to begin without breaking the bank.
