Great product for the diy
I'm glad I waited to write this review. I installed these and I had the same experience some other reviewers had, the water was just rolling over the guard and not going into the gutter. I read all the reviews again, looked at the pictures, gave it some thought. I flipped them over (good thing they are easy to install) and now they work great

Installation Tips and Troubles
Corrected to indicate that I have K-style gutters, not ogee.I used 3 75-foot containers of the gutter screens. They are quite stoutand simple to use. I have 5-inch K-style gutters with long nails aboutevery 3 feet driven through the very top section of the gutters withvery little space between the top of the nails (aluminum spacerscovering the nails) and the bottom of the lip of the top of the gutters. To use these screens, I had to use sheet metal snips to cut backthe lower part of the screens so that the spring ridge (lower part)of the screens could fit between the nail/cover and the gutter lip inside.I had both inside and outside 45 degree corners to fit, so customcutting was required many times. The screens appear deep enoughto use on 6 or 5 inch gutters, so they have to tuck up quite deeplyunder my shingles in my 5 inch application. I found that at cornersin particular, cutting some of the top (back) of the screens made insertioneasier/possible. Also note that it required quite a bit of liftingof shingles, so don't try this on a cold day or you may crack/breakshingles. The ends of the screen runs leave a triangular openingthrough which a few leaves/needles might enter -- would be nice to havea snap-on end-cap available at extra cost for those who want it --bending the screens down is not elegant nor totally effective. One key tip: the screens come with a slight crown. You definitelywant to reverse that for the first inch or two at the back as that willallow them to slide above the drip edge and below the shingles moreeasily, depending on how high your gutters on mounted on your facia.Note that if you don't have ladder spreader arms to keep your laddersupported by the roof and not the gutter, the ladder will compressthe gutter and hence your screen installation will be more difficult, plus when you remove the ladder the screens may not slide out fullyto the gutter edge and you may have a gap. Highly recommendusing the ladder spreader support arms during installation where possible.Another trick: take a metal coat hanger and bend a small right angleon one end. Use that as a tool to manipulate the screens -- oncethey are tucked under the shingles, moving them left to right or frontand back becomes very difficult. Having a tool that can be insertedinto the screen's holes makes it much easier (though not easy).Where the screens are to overlap, there is a nice cut-out on the front edge.I found that under the shingles it was very hard to slide one over theother. I arrived at the solution to insert the "top" screen sectionover the existing/under section and then slide the top screen "off" ofthe under section until the overlap was as desired, rather than tryingto slide the "top" section "onto" the existing section. So, startwith more overlap than needed, not the other way around.Overall, I found the product excellent. Installation is a bunch of work,on a ladder, with sheet metal snips. I would say my total installationperiod was at least 10 hours over 3 days. Every screen had to be cut,for at least the nail issue. Obviously, the long, straight gutterruns were much easier and faster. I have a deluge of maple seedsin the spring and live in a forest so many Fall leaves. I alsohave a neighbor's very tall pine tree with long thin needlesthat find their way to my gutters. If I encounter any of thosebeing able to breach the screens, I will update this review.Good luck.

These are fine and dandy gutter covers
I did 60' of garage gutter (30' per side). So far thru a SE Tennessee fall and winter they have been outstanding. My girlfriend had those high end/high cost ones installed and umph, STILL have to get on the roof to blow leaves and trash off and the leaves catch in the aluminum 'lip' they use. Not the case for this item...I haven't seen any leaves piling up, getting stuck, etc. To be fair, my roofs are metal while hers are asphalt shingle. I keep watching these and waiting for a sale to I can finish a couple more smaller gutters on my cabin - mostly to keep a bird from building it's annual nest in one. They are easy to cut to size when needed with tin snips. The only thing to keep in mind is to not actually bend them/or put a bend in them to start with. They maintain their arch by working like a bridge span and the ends of the arch putting force again the eave-side and the outside-edge of the gutter.

I've slowly been replacing my old gutter guards with these. They're easy to put and do a great job keeping out the little pine needles. I was already at my local, hardware super store and thought I just get them there. They wanted 125. for a pack of 25. Quick check on Amazon and I saved $60.
