I absolutely love this book! The models are easy to understand and the author provides the origin and how to use them in action. This is a book you need if you are a coach, consultant, trainer, or teacher! I use this book on a daily basis as a business coach.

no disappointment at all

Good as a very quick and superficial overview. A pleasant read that is organized to facilitate reading individual sections in any order which suits your interests. If you need a very shallow knowledge of business models, sufficient to initiate casual conversations, this is the book for you. However, if you want to analyze existing or create business models, this book lacks depth. If you need to bone up on business model thinking for a job interview, this book will not provide sufficient knowledge. If you want to have a meaningful conversation about business models with people who deploy and manage businesses, this book will only enable you to speak at best like an amateur.
